A notes feature. Just before you quit, you have the option to create a note. You can put in there what you were up to, what you were gonna do next, what you were saving your gold for, anything.

Weeks or months go by and you load up your save and you have no idea what's going on. You can't remember why you have that thing in your inventory, you can't remember what you were doing, you're lost.

No game has this but basically every game should have this imo.

I feel like the ps5 has the feature, but i could be wrong.

Also, remember when game manuals used to come with notes? I never used the page, but i think just keeping a journal would help.

But more options are always good.

Id imagine that if you could push the Home button, there would be an option to use a note, and when you open the game up, it loads the note up for you

On PC you could just do it manually with notepad or whatever

That's why I like the newer systems that just put the system into "rest mode" when you turn it off and let you continue right where you left off, I usually try to have something on the screen like a quest log or map icon so I know what I was gonna do next.

There are many games where you can name your save file or put a note on it.

Game manuals had like 3 or 4 pages for notes back in the day.

The 3DS had a feature where you could draw notes. I can't imagine many people used it, though.
