Yeah, in the comic, there's a lot of stuff that happens before the whole Angstrom Levy/Mauler Twins fight.
Looks like they moved that up to episode 1 to properly establish him as the season's primary villain. A bunch of other major moments that happened before that in the comics look like they're rearranged to take place in following episodes.

I also really liked how the show really dove into Mark having obvious PTSD over what happened, which is normal and I felt the comic just kind of glossed over.

I feel like the show in general is really good about that kind of stuff. In the comics, horrific stuff happens to/in front of Mark and he's over it by the next page.

Mark in the show reacts accordingly when he witnesses crazy stuff and it tends to stick with him for a while. I like that a lot. It really means into the theme of him facing the reality of being a superhero, and that despite him constantly getting his ass handed to him, his spirit/determination is really what makes him invincible.
