I got family scattered throughou the Bay area and Sacramento here in California and alot of em say they don't really get trick or treaters anymore.

My neighborhood was Poppin buti also live in a tight knit older community that's kinda bougie

im a broke millennial and so are a lot of people. i'm not spending my money on candy for the little shitstains the people who actually own the houses in the neighborhood keep squeezing out. i'm spending money on candy for ME.

Trunk or treats are gaining popularity.

Ive noticed it the last couple years. Less houses putting out candy or decorations. Granted, people from surrounding areas truck their kids into my neighbourhood. We ran out of candy at 8pm last night and i had enough for 500 kids.

My apartment complex doesn't get any trick or treater, at least from what I've seen.

No matter, the real meta is buying tons of candy at discounted prices the day after Halloween.

My area does it still but the kids are all growing up and there's not many new families coming in to replace them. It's sad because I love trick or treat and passing out candy.

few wanted the skittles candy (roommate ate all the junior mints) should've gotten 2 of those.

one even rang the door bell. wish they didn't do that (i didn't have a note on the door explaining that there was candy for trick or treaters but not to ring the door bell or knock).

the skittles went to a neighbor going through a loss. (it's about the same thing i had to live with happening). somebody keeled over in somebody's apartment while someone is living there.
