A lot of elderly forced to share a home with their kids so they can be taken care of, and just as many elderly left destitute and homeless, at least until the US adopts elder suicide laws like Canada has with MAID.

Same thing that happened before. Any elderly that either didnt establish a decent net worth and or family ties before old age will either die on a curve alone or work until death.

I have my separate retirement fund Im investing in so I dont need to depend on social security but as someone who is 47 years old Im going to be pissed if I pay into it my whole life and it disappears right before I start drawing from it.
But I honestly expect it to happen.
