Idk. The problem may have been I played Paper Mario first which I thought was amazing. Then I played RPG and it was a big letdown for me tbh

Yeah that is pretty dumb. I think weeb originally started as a term to insult white dudes obsessed with japan. It doesn't matter, I call myself a weeby deeby a lot since I look at my music playlists and the games I own to see that the majority is for sure japanese-related, with a bit of korean and chinese games here and there lol. I guess its one of those things where once you get older you slowly just stop giving a shit about what others think and peer pressure is no longer a factor.

Eh I've been called a hipster before and a punk, lol at the last one as that's basically a compliment. But terms and words can be difficult to grasp and hit differently for different ppl.

Star Ocean 2 is certainly the best one of the series imo but it still is an rpg from the 90s and just has its tropes and slowness at times. It does seem like the companies put more effort into it than I expected though. You'd think how highly regarded Chrono Trigger is the ports wouldn't be shit at first or there'd be a solid remaster.
