That depends on what magazines you're talking about and when.

For instance, if a game sucked Nintendo Power just plain didn't review it.

If "Now in the 90s" has taught me anything, it's that NP was surprisingly stingy with its scores.

They rarely gave anything more than a 4 out of 5.
