If you can get issued a social security card just for existing, you can get a voter registration just for existing.

Your first contact with government - SSN, Drivers license, whatever - should inititiate registration in the voting process. If that's at 16, you'd wait a couple years, but you're in. The only purging should be if someone for some unimaginable reason requests to be purged.

The way the US does it is completely undemocratic.

Yeah, provisional ballot is the way to go now. I don't know Ohio laws, but worth contacting the Registrar over. Maybe even the media (keep your anonymity).

Agreed. If America was a proper first world country, then we would have had this already. Along with a lot of other things other first world countries have that America doesn't.

Again, I'm NOT saying some elections aren't important - I'm questioning Good Boy using the metric of "Each election is equally important - so if they haven't voted 4 years they won't vote in THIS one" to say it's appropriate to remove them from voter registrations.
