No.

Even if you are planning on making something like meth, only certain ingredients are actually illegal to possess. Usually there's like one or two precursor chemicals for a drug that are illegal to have (not always the case with meth though) and then just the lab equipment to make it, which isn't typically illegal by itself.

So, while it may be very suspicious and sketchy of you to have the stuff, it might not actually be illegal depending on what you have and if you actually plan on producing anything.

Probably why the law is not okay with selling poison cup cakes, but will allow a new owner of a home buy a meth contaminated property.

If you were selling said cake to a suicidal person, no. If you were selling said cake to a person who intended to remove and dispose of the poison, while salvaging the rest of the cake, sure. (Now of course, for a literal cake that'd be impractical; but for a meth contaminated house, it's very practical and done quite often.)

In some states, this house would already be torn down. This one might be torn down yet. The meth lab is too much of a liability. Fixing the house would require extensive work, possibly an interior gut-and-replace job. It would likely be less expensive to tear it down and build something new.

If someone DID buy it, it wouldn't surprise me if the thing got eminent domain'd and taken from them with little in the way of pittance from the state.
