I thought it was a fun one-off, also cool to see those chars again.

Rick's new voice felt noticeable but I didn't really mind it by the end of the episode.

I almost wonder if this had any implications to Roiland's situation.

In hindsight it was a weak way to open, was not worth losing sleep over lol

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

I learned the guy who wrote the Sperm episode wrote the opener for season 7.

Wasn't a bad episode, I think I laughed at the lawnmower gag more than anything else though.

Is this streaming on Max or Hulu yet? Or do I need to wait?

PB is generally a one note character who appears once or twice a season since his debut. Hardly too important if his voice isn't perfect.

I thought it was funny, especially since adult swim's youtube had been putting out lore videos for a couple weeks prior, only to turn around and have the episode not be a continuation of season 6's finale.

Is Morty's new voice actor also voicing Mr Poopybutthole?

I think all the voices are great, considering they'll never really be 100%.

The episode was fine. I got a couple of laughs out of it. Fun one off.

I thought having Rick and Morty with new voices would be distracting, but I barely noticed those. But something I didnt consider before the episode:it was MPB voice that was very different and really distracting. Which made the episode a little tough since he was the focus.

Yeah, that's my response to it too. I also think that his voice is kinda meant to be a little off and weird and stuff, so it didn't feel too jarring.

I think specifically what feels off is he sounds like he's sedated a little, or like on some prescription meds, and I think the sarcastic/mocking tone Rick has is gonna need some work.
