How can I be canceled? I don't sell anything and no one cares what I think.

If I took a side publicly it might actually affect my career but my position is that they are both terrible (I get use both sides unironically how about that) so I think I'm good

Of course not, but there are quite a few people who want to think that way. Like supporting the existence of Palestine implies you support the existence of Hamas.

I don't because I wouldn't.

My go to answer when this topic comes up is "I'm not educated enough on the situation to know exactly what's going on, I just hate how there's regular people that have nothing to do with it getting harmed."

My bosses are all Palestinian, so...

I'm just following the news, I'm not really with or for either of them.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Tories demanded all pro Palestine staff be purged from the NHS or tried to turn more against it by trying to claim they allow terrorist supporters to work.

i don't have cancellable opinions nor am i in a situation where cancellation is an entertainable idea.

being cancelled or the fear thereof is basically nonexistent for a significant amount of the population
basically anyone without a large social media presence that works retail, food service, unskilled labor etc. is nigh cancelproof
no one gave a shit what they thought in the first place and any place theyd apply to work most prolly isnt even running a background check, let alone some kind of social media/search engine crawl

I had criticisms of Israels government when their crimes against humanity were less than this. Terrorism does not excuse the victims from becoming monsters. Similarly, Hamas does not get exemption for their violent actions just because the Palestinians have suffered under the state of Israel.
Since I only hate the state and dont support the terrorists, its hard to cancel me over that opinion. I also hate my own country, and many other countries because they all do horrible things to their people.

I don't give my opinion on politics and things like this either way because I don't feel like I need to be immediately cancelled by 50% of the population.

I'd rather be yelled at by 100% of the population for five minutes for not having a spine and then they move on to the next one vs. be yelled at by 50% of the population for the rest of my life.

I really would rather stay out of it because all of these arguments turn into shitshows
