If it doesn't underperform, certain types on the internet, from MAGA to typical nerds who just hate women/Brie Larson, will say Disney bought reviews/theaters/etc., so it literally cannot win.

I think it looks...fun? Also a bit shorter than most marvel movies which could make for better pacing. We already know their background so thats out of the way.

They don't have to spin any narrative, since when people like you judge a movie before it even comes out, based on women being it it, most people know not to take you seriously. People will dismiss you as they properly do, regardless. And if the movie is bad, it's just bad, and has nothing to do with whatever your incel brain cooked up.

GotG3 was fantastic.

But regardless, that user's post went far beyond "Marvel movies are worse," he was specifically critiquing this movie, already, and judging what responses will be.

I enjoyed Captain Marvel and watch it again from time to time. It's a fun movie overall.

I just have a feeling this one is gonna legitimately suck. The MCU's track record has gotten a bit poor, and the trailers don't really look exciting.

It's probably gonna be hard to tell if it's review bombing or just legit, unless it makes a crazy amount like the first.

The right might like it if it's legitimately bad as they were the ones praising Antman 3 after critics started hating it.

I think it will get bad reviews, but I think a lot of them will be because it's a bad movie.

Leftists don't review bomb. They just won't watch or play something they don't like. You can tell by the total number of audience reviews. When something is review bombed the number of audience reviews is tens of thousands more then most movies.

I mostly agree, but let's remember Warcraft 3 Reforged. That was review bombed largely as a "fuck you" to Acti-Blizz - something I doubt the alt-right (who should love Acti-Blizz since it represents much of what they stand for) contributed much to.

All the directors for these shows and movies tend to preemptively get some writer to write up some article about some fake outrage even before it comes out, blaming racism or sexism because it drums up controversy and draws attention to their shows so they can help to pump up the views a bit.
