I'd love a new one in the classic or SotN style

Bloodstained was the best Castlevania i've played in a while and that sucks.

Konami is doing everything with the Castlevania IP except for developing a new game.

"Literally just released" is not how I would describe a two year old release. I wouldn't say Resident Evil 8 literally just released.

Since Smash and Dead Cells could use it I wonder if we'll see Castlevania content in another unrelated game soon.

They still have the 1999 story and they can make a game without Dracula cause they did it before but again: It's Konami were talking about.

If they wanted to, they could pull a Zelda timeline. Or they could have Dracula resurface every 50 years with only mild continuity errors. It's an excuse to close up shop and sell pachinko machines.

Konami would rather go under or sell Konami brand vacuum cleaners than treat their employees with any respect. The reason the first game had fake movie credits was to offer that as an alternative to crediting the programmers.

He already shows up every 50 years in the last 200 years of the timeline (and that includes the Bram Stoker Dracula being part of the timeline).

In fact in that same period they officially put some of the games as not part of the official timeline such as Castlevania 64 and Circle of the Moon.

If you've ever seen Plinko on The Price is Right, that's a simplified pachinko machine. Or the secret level in Mario Sunshine that you need to rocket into under the bridge in Delfino Plaza.

Basically, you launch a metal ball the same way you would in a pinball machine but it's vertical rather than horizontal. It goes to the top and begins falling down. You score points based on where it lands at the bottom.

It's mostly used for gambling. Cash gambling is illegal in Japan, but they get around it by having you win more balls. You can then trade the balls to the pachinko parlor for tokens that can be sold for cash at a different shop. The shop then sells the tokens back to the parlor for slightly more than what they paid.
