wow, CE dont care about Pikmin :(

I just booted up Pikmin 1 last night and WOW the game is even better than I remember it being.

super smash bros brawl

I still need to play 4 so I won't vote. As of now, it is 2

I remember liking 3's format the most. 1's a bit too short (but great for replays), 2's randomly generated dungeons are kind of grating after a while, and 4's pacing was a bit too hand-holdy at the beginning.

1 Pikman 2 had way too much product placement.
It killed the charm of the original.

I did love Pikman though very much.

Anybody who didn't vote 4 didn't play 4

Right now Im thinking 4 but I havent finished it.

1 and 3 are great. I legit hate 2. 2 is just a slog of repetition.

Interesting discussion kinda. I'm compelled.

I haven't played that, but if you are a Gardener you will really liker Pikman.
It's perfectly charming.

2 because of the freedom and difficulty, it also doesn't treat you like a noob like 3 & 4 do.

there isnt anything really like pikmin. Its kind of like a rts, but not like any rts

I had the most fun with 2 when I was younger so Im voting for it. I replayed it recently and it was pretty simple, tons of content but I actually cleared the caves my first time spelunking unlike when I was a kid so it didnt take too long. I think it took me nearly 80 days as a kid to get the dumbbell and everything else, this time it took 23 days. The multiplayer vs mode and challenge modes were also amazing, my brother and I spent so much time on those.

1 is really good with a nice amount of tension, but when compared to later games the lack of enemy variety and overall content is light.

3 has hands down the best bosses in the series, and the co-op campaign in the switch version is fun if youve got somebody to play with. But idk it was definitely easier than the other games and I didnt like the worlds as much. Maybe Ill replay it soon its been a few years.

4 would be the best in the series if it wasnt so piss easy. It basically has the best of everything except bosses and difficulty. The night defence missions are a nice change of pace, and the locations are amazing. Especially the ocean one. Oatchi is a great addition and fun to use, but can be overpowered. the game is still easy even if you dont upgrade him though.

2>1>4>3 but I love all four, and theyre pretty close in quality. 2 is a 9.5 and 3 is like an 8.8 to me

I wouldn't go that far.
But if you are a gardener and have gotten down and your hands a knees and seen all that goes on in your garden, it's like that. If that makes any sense. Bugs doing their thing. Tiny weeds you must pluck, it's like that.

3>4>2>1 for me personally

Yeah 4 is like the ultimate culmination of Pikmin

really a great sequel, and it just kept freaking going. The hand-holding at the beginning was a lot, but once it opens up its fantastic and easily the best imo

I think Pikmin 3 deluxe being the only game that has full coop campaign puts it over the top for me

The final boss of Pikmin 1 really brings down the whole experience imo. Poor final level/area

1 without the time limit would be perfect.

I'd argue the time limit puts you in a better mindset to optimize, plus it never really factors in unless you're really bad. I think 3 definitely did it best where finding multiple fruits in a day explicitly gave you more time to be more lax on other days. 2 and 4 not having a time limit made everything a bit too lax personally.

4 does have the time limit mode which is basically a whole game in the style of Pikmin 1

Anyway, it's a tie between 1 and 4 for me, 3 was decent, and 2 is one of the worst designed games I've ever played
