Please spare me the edgy I once told someone that life was worth living posts, I mean lies for career advancement, to get a girl, to prank or deceive someone, for your own amusement, to avoid getting in trouble or something like that.
I dont have many, but the biggest one was lying to my parents about traveling across the world by myself to meet a girl. Naturally I assumed my parents would fucking freak out but id been in an online relationship with the girl for 6 months and we video called every day and it all felt authentic so the reward was worth the risk. I told my parents a group of us friends decided to take a vacation getaway to the Philippines and had them play along if my parents asked and not post anything on social media about their at home activities while I was there. Once I got home and everything went fine and went great with the girl and we decided to be official and plan to be together long term in real life I confessed everything. Though I lead with the ive been in a relationship for 6 months and once they saw pictures of us the awwwwwwww shes gorgeous thats great trumped the WERE SO FUCKING MAD YOU COULDVE BEEN KIDNAPPED, plus I was able to make it a joke like I was an amazing kid for 30 years, I earned one irresponsible moment right?
