More details on what was found at the scene and what is known. This is the case where several years ago, 2 early teens girls were on a bridge in a forest park. They filmed a man walking towards them and saying " down the hill". Its always been suspected that was the killer

This year, they arrested someone. That person now is blaming a full group of Norse Pagans who committed the murders as a sacrifice to the gods

This case has been very weird and creepy from day 1. And I think it will be talked about for decades. 100 years from now, people will say this was one of the strangest mysteries of the early 21st century

The arrested man has his trial in January

the guy who got arrested left bullet casings at the scene. him trying to blame a pagan cult right before his trial is a weird desperation move. if that actually happened there is no way he wouldn't have told the police at the time

edit: not casings, actual bullets

correct, but richard allen left unspent bullets at the scene, he admitted on multiple occasions to the murders (without coercion, he admitted independently to his mom and wife).

it makes zero sense for this guy to have witnessed a cult murder and admitted right after the crime to being at the scene but somehow didn't mention witnessing a cult murder until he was arrested and made multiple confessions to multiple people.

there is zero substance to the defense theory, it is just desperation.

We will see. False confessions are a thing. Also there are some rumors now that the cops knew about this cult stuff from day 1 but covered it up for an unknown reason

I'll be looking forward to seeing what evidence the defense can provide at the trial.

false confessions are definitely a thing, but it doesn't make sense in this case. allen isn't cognitively impaired and confessed on multiple occasions to multiple people. he put himself at the scene during the initial investigation and never mentioned a cult murder, it only came up on the eve of the trial.

the police did a pretty shit job during the investigation and they did a shit job of providing information to the public, i just don't see any evidence at all of this defense theory and it doesn't make logical sense.

also, the actual evidence against richard allen is kinda sparse, i just don't buy the cult theory at all. i think he is very likely guilty, but his confessions and the bullets he left at the scene are by far the biggest pieces of evidence we know of so far.

If a murder is blamed on a pagan cult, it's usually not the truth. I guess it's the scariest answer to an unsolved crime that doesn't involve the paranormal or extraterrestrial.

this too.

during the satanic panic of the 80s and 90s there were tons of murders that were blamed on satanists, but zero murders actually ended up being tied to satanic cults. sometimes deranged individuals commit murders and attribute them to satan or some other ritual type shit, but it's never an organized group. there have certainly been cult murders in the past, but they were always linked to regular murder reasons like financial gain or jealousy or hate. the closest thing we have to a ritualistic cult murder is the manson family murders, and they were ritualistic so they could be blamed on black people to try and start a race war, not for religious reasons.

Is this the kind of 'deep dive' that is built on documentary evidence and witness interviews? Or is it a YouTuber putting together stuff they heard about the case from other Internet sources?

Well now it looks like there probably will not be cameras. No live coverage of possibly the most wild case in Indiana state history

The prosecution is aggressively trying to ban it

They don't want people to falsely accuse Vikings.
