Far more criticism for teaching sasuke the chidori. I get why he did it (to prepare him in his fight with Gaara) but teaching a jutsu like that to someone like Sasuke is insane. And hey guess what! The kid with evil in his heart who is obsessed with revenge has used it for bad!

And he used it for good too.
This is a non issue.

The other dudes either were more elite, had a battlefield advantage (Zabuza), or had a ton of extra lives (Kakuzu). Orochimaru was above the 3rd Hokage and most of the other guys Kakashi straight up lost to would beat Oro with zero difficulty too.

Kakashi grew to like Sasuke. He also saw a lot of himself in Sasuke. He did his best to try to keep Sasuke around, to help him through his pain, to talk to him about it, but Sasuke was playing against unfair odds--both Orochimaru and Itachi had a vested interest in making him stronger (for different reasons) and Naruto was growing quickly enough to hurt Sasuke's pride.

There were a lot of factors that went into Sasuke's betrayal, but Kakashi teaching him Chidori had nothing to do with it. That'd be like saying "don't teach Naruto the Rasengan because he has the nine tails in him and might go crazy"

No, Chidori and Raikiri are basically the same technique. Kakashi only uses it in his hand for ambushing and direct attacks, but Sasuke morphed Chidori into different shapes instead of refining its piercing power.

Kakashi does roughly the same shape changing as Sasuke, but Kakashi does it with his basic lightning chakra. We see this when he uses things like lightning clones and fuses his kunai with lightning. Same concept, but he doesn't associate it with Chidori the way Sasuke does.

Point being, Chidori is mostly a less-refined version of Raikiri, but Sasuke made Chidori his own by adding shape changes into the technique for chidori senbon, stream, etc. Chidori isn't inherently more flexible, that's just how Sasuke opts to use its energy.

As for why Itachi wanted Sasuke to get stronger, he wanted Sasuke to eventually hunt him down and kill him. Itachi did this so Sasuke could not only receive Itachi's eyes (and thus EMS) but also so Sasuke could have some closure on the death of the clan and everything that happened. What Itachi didn't count on was Obito showing up and telling the whole story and revealing the secrets behind why the massacre happened.

Itachi fully expected Sasuke to return to the village as a hero immediately after carrying out vengeance. Failing that, he also rigged Naruto with the Kotoamatuskami Crow as a failsafe to convince Sasuke to protect the village if he didn't decide it on his own.

If anything, you should be mad at Kakashi for not teaching Sakura anything.
Him teaching stuff to his students is a non issue.

She did become pretty powerful, all things considered. She was just held back by not being Naruto or Sasuke in a story primarily about Naruto and Sasuke.

Nothing in that series was as hilarious as Sakura insisting she's finally on par with Naruto and Sasuke just for Sasuke to turn around and one-shot her.

Kishi fucked over everyone, but the way he just left Sakura behind is especially egregious when her two other peers are throwing around mountains and teleporting across the planet.

That wasnt even until after the timeskip did she become powerful. By the chunin exams she still didnt have anything. EVERYONE had something except for her. She got screwed by the poor writing

To be fair, Sasuke was the gifted offspring of a legendary clan. Naruto was the host of the nine tailed fox.

Sakura was just some girl. It makes sense that she wouldn't become exceptionally strong until somebody exceptional trained her in the areas she was naturally talented in. Kakashi ended up training Sasuke more personally than the other two because he felt that Sasuke and himself had a lot in common.

I get what youre saying, I do, but Im saying that everyone in the chunin exam had some kind of jutsu or some kind of power or what have you. Sakura got no development up into the chunin exams. No jutsu, no powers, just oh shes so smart like she was fighting against the sound ninja using regular ass clone jutsu because she didnt have any special jutsu of her own. Even Ino has mind transfer jutsu

I don't understand why this is a bad thing. Didn't she recognize this herself? And it motivated her to latch onto Tsunade and make something of herself. We don't all grow at the same pace. She wasn't taking things as seriously as the others back then, but she was inspired by seeing how far ahead of her they were and dedicated herself. Seems like a perfectly fine arc to me.

Yes, especially at the time. It was a big attaci boost. Its how he broke through Gaara's ultimate defense, managed to clash and injure with a partial Jinchuriki transformation and he blasts a hole through Naruto's chest with it.

She was at the very least incredibly book smart. The written test was meant to be so hard it forced the Genin to cheat, but she just answers them normally.
