I have a new job set up starting March next year. But my current job contract is ending next month, possibly might get another role in the company, if not I'll be unemployed.

Should I look for a new job now or will that complicate things? Should I tell my potential new job that I am moving country in a few months for another job?

do you have plenty saved up to where you don't need to work the next 6 months even if something unexpected came up? you could just try doing some part time job like uber/uber eats and try to enjoy your time off but still work part time on your own schedule. or look for jobs at temp agencies. could find something with like a 3-6 month contract to do.

but if you're applying to normal jobs i'd leave out the part about leaving the country in 6 months. most will just skip you if you say that. if you do get a job then in a few months you can let them know. like after the holidays to give them a warning. but i still wouldn't say like "oh yea i've had this job lined up 4 months ago" or anything. just be like it's an opportunity you can't pass up.

Yeah I've saved up enough money that I could take a break. But I'm the type that hates being unemployed and its always nice to make money.

Yeah this was my line of thinking too. As long as I give enough notice it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Thanks, I'll see if I can find a short term contract. If not I'll look at other options too.
