if so, I have a question

Why is the universe so big, if we are the only ones here? Why did God make so much useless stuff? To me, if God exists, then either universe would be a lot smaller, or aliens would exist. I just dont see the point in such a massive universe if its all just for 1 stupid species on a miniscule planet

To me, assuming there is alien life (and I do lean towards belief of them rather than skepticism), it would just further serve to prove God's glory.

To test us/God works in mysterious ways/we're just that special because we are God's chosen
(Yes religious people actually tell themselves this)

Religion doesn't follow the guidelines of logic. That's why it doesn't make sense.

I suspect that if humans were to discover alien life, humanity would probably revert to crusade/missionary behaviour.

I remember hearing someone from the Vatican once say that if we ever do find aliens, they firmly do intend to attempt to convert them to Catholicism

Religious people would just say that there's some god stuff that's beyond the understanding of humans.

Conveniently enough.

From an Islamic perspective, in purely layman terms, if the Quran or Hadith didn't mention it, chances are it will not be relevant. Islam's version of the anti-Christ already includes a being with supernatural powers, and that was highlighted, so if aliens were gonna invade with lazer guns, why is there no Quran or Hadith talking about that? Makes no sense, because Quran and Hadith frequently comment on trials and tribulations Muslims (and humanity at large) will face, and even less grave things, like how these desert nomads will one day compete over who can build the tallest buildings (this is an actual hadith from 1400+ years ago). So if you have hadith talking about how Muslims will have a lot of infighting, how Arabs will eventually become few on Earth due to this, how Muslims will be huge in numbers and yet still have the world's nations gang up on them and exploit them for all their worth, then it follows that if something major like aliens with super fast UFOs (the latest BS pentagon is trying to sell us today), it would have been mentioned.

I think in all religions, humanity is the center of the universe, to humans. God can do whatever He wishes, so for all we know, there are other universes out there. But from our perspective, it doesn't matter and never will matter because we have our orders and our judgment day. We already know that Satan himself was once from a nation and a powerful warrior against "the forces of evil", so that already suggests an entire saga before Adam was ever created. Who's to say there aren't more.

Everything on Earth has a common ancestor if you go back far enough. That isn't really a revelation.

Why couldn't it all be for us and our descendants? There's plenty of time to (figure out FTL and then) colonize the galaxies.

There probably are aliens, though.
