Then I saw one of Ozu's films, "Tokyo Story" and now I'm in this perpetual state of melancholy where I don't have motivation to do anything because I understand the futility of it all. We work hard, get old, and eventually die. At the end of the day, we're all similar to mob characters in a video game. We don't actually have autonomy and life is controlled by this thing called fate. I love watching sad movies. I feel like I need to break myself emotionally down and see things at surface level in order to humble myself more. What's the saddest movie you've seen?
