Also, how the heck did Thrawn not find Ezra in those 10 years? Sabine found him in like a day, based off Thrawns intel lol. I hope this is addressed in the later episodes, Thrawn is supposed to be one of the smartest, most calculated, best strategists in all of Star Wars it would be pretty bad if Ezra being so easy to find for Sabine did not somehow figure into his master plan.
This was already addressed in the episode. Sabine only found him with the help of he other Rock Trolls. They're nomadic and constantly move around. So the only way to find them is with their help, which Thrawn didn't have.

I would buy the "Thrawn just didn't care" excuse way before I would buy "Thrawn got outsmarted by some nomadic hermit crabs 5 miles away from him."

Hopefully we get a good conclusion, this is a great opportunity for Filoni to truly establish how much of a genius Thrawn is to people who didn't read the EU. If he really wants to get his movie he needs to do Thrawn justice and make him a powerful villain

It's both, actually. He likely could have put in s lot more effort to find him but Thrawne isn't petty like that. Hes not going to spend years trying to find Ezra when he has more important concerns.

Maybe a little...but it's really cool that they got the Rebels voice actor to play him in live action.

This may end up surpassing andor for me. All depends on the last 2 episodes. 6 episodes in and I really dig it. Sabine and ahsoka are unlikable, especially sabine

I think the show has been just okay, so far. Some really interesting potential, and some cool characters (the two Dark Jedi and Thrawn are very promising), but a lot of lackluster characters as well, including quite possibly the least interesting droid character in the entire Star Wars canon. It should be a crime to waste the talents of David Tennant the way this show has done. The dialogue is incredibly bad at times, and there are too many really obvious fan service inserts designed to get the absolute stupidest viewers on the planet to tweet I CANT BELIEVE HE SAID IT! once a week (this weeks was the galaxy far, far away line). The bad stuff aside theres a lot of good, too. The costuming and makeup are top notch, I particularly loved the look of Thrawns troops, although after the last cool mystery guy with a neat mask/helmet got insta-jobbed faster than you could blink, Im having a hard time caring about the gold mask stormtrooper dude. The new lore we at exploring is sort of cool, but ultimately its hard to care that much when the protagonists of the story are so dull.

So yeah. A mixed bag. Much better than Obi-Wan or Boba Fett, but Im not sure Id rate it any better than the two weaker seasons of Mando (2 and 3). It doesnt come close to Andor, but to be fair I have serious doubts that anything Star Wars related ever will approach that level of quality ever again, including future potential seasons of Andor.

Boba Fett was also a lot of fun. Apart from a couple of weird scenes (the energy shield ambush, and the slow-speed hoverbike chase) it was really, really solid for me, too. To each their own

The Yuuzhan Vong came from a different galaxy, in the Legends timeline.
Nah, I meant like this specific galaxy from Ahsoka. Even Kamino was located outside the main galaxy, and much closer to a satellite galaxy.

I was just wondering if they've touched on this in canon and the whole thing about the Dathomiri originating there.

Can we have just one week when you nerds don't fill up 1/2 of the thread with EU nonsense? Christ.

I thought this was a good episode. Production design was great. Nice balance of lightness and darkness in the storytelling.

In 3 minutes of screen time it felt like the actor playing Ezra understands his character 100x more than anyone else (from Rebels). Baylon continues to be the best character in the show, though

Give us a better show and maybe we'll talk about it instead, lol.

I agree, but Ezra was always the beating heart of the Spectres. Everyone else had varied degrees of "so tired" even back then.

A TV version of EU stories wouldn't be any better, because those stories are mostly silly and unnecessary.

Maybe, but Sabine, Hera, Ahsoka, etc. all had distinct personalities. The live-action actors for them seem like they don't care about the cartoon versions of their characters at all (well, I like the Sabine actress, but Hera and Ahsoka SUUUUUCK)

I mean I'm not specifically asking for that. I watched all of Season 2 of Visions so far this weekend and some of those were fantastic. Spy Dancer is my standout favorite.

The only one I feel they really dropped the ball on is Ahsoka.

And the problem is it's her show. One would think she'd be the most dynamic character in the ensemble, with everyone else supporting. I feel her lack of character is dragging everyone else down, even though Huyang is going down kicking and screaming.

Like I could deal with Hera being subdued because most of her character driving moments in the past were either with Kanan or "GARA'ZEB ORELIOS!"

You're asking Star Wars fans to not whine about something

Do you realize what an insane request that is
