Current Events > Pikmin 4 seems to have a HUGE amount of content. Thoughts on the game?

Between the daytime above ground areas, the nighttime areas, and the caves, there seems to be a lot of stuff you can do in this game. It's also really well designed, like pretty much every main series Pikmin game, with the exception of Pikmin 1. Later on, the difficulty certainly gets stronger. The graphics are the best in the series.

It seems, though, like a lot of the Pikmin are barely useful in their specific fields. White Pikmin don't seem to have much poisonous stuff to destroy, Rock Pikmin don't seem to have that many crystal walls to smash through, and Pink Pikmin don't have many dangerous areas to fly over. What do you think? Even much later in the game, these Pikmin don't seem that useful. Nintendo seem to have become obsessed with the usefulness of the classic Pikmin, and Ice Pikmin.

I'm surprised CE doesn't like this game. If nothing else, there's plenty of content.

How do you feel about Pikmin 1, 2 and 3? It feels like Pikmin 1 had a lot of problems.

I mean, its like a 40 hour game. Thats pretty big by any metric, and particularly shocking for this franchise given all the other ones were like 10-15 hours to 100%

Maybe I just spent a lot of time on it very quickly. It didnt feel huge. Very big, but not huge.
