As a guy who's lived here for almost 20 years now, I'm sorry. im not stoked about LA but im stoked about the circumstances of why I'll be there a couple years ago i joined a discord for a demographic i was really lacking friends in. last year, this guy joins. didnt like him at first. too nice. too affable. but so genuine - that earnestness won me over so hard. we got to chatting whenever we saw the other in server. started streaming and doing voice chats and camming. developed mutual crushes. in january he confessed as much to me, i told him i appreciated his candidness and felt the same. cue further bonding. a few months in we both acknowledged what little faith and expectations we had in online/LDRs, but whatever we were definitely turned out to resemble it. we made plans to meet in june. would have been earlier, but he moved countries in april and had a bit of a shakey time settling in. june came, he flew out here, we clicked so well. so many anxieties and concerns dispelled. it was an amazing week. then i flew out in august. another amazing time. i love his friends and circles. i love the kind of stuff he gets up to. love his zest for life, so refreshing from how ive always been I'm flying out again in october, for a week and a half this time. cant wait. early next year he will be moving to california for work - I'll be flying up to canada to help him pack and we'll road trip his move down there. and when he's settled, he's flying out here to help me pack and we're gonna road trip across the Lincoln Highway to california it's funny (and trite). i always had so little respect for the same kinds of circumstances that led to all this. had no respect for online or LDR relationships and their sincerity. had no interest in positive people. figured i was completely done with the romance game now i am in what is easily the best, most communicative and caring relationship of my life. being motivated to better myself and be there for someone else. my gosh --- My fate was the grandest, most brilliant of them all. <cite>Dungeater posted [p:976147375] in actually f...
