I was reading through an older Reddit thread relating to Black people living in Japan, and one of the comments came from an older Black man who related an incident from years ago. While in primary school, his Black/Japanese son was being bullied and one day came home dirty and bruised. The following day, the father and his wife went up to the school to speak with the school administration who did not seem interested in resolving the problem, to which the father then outright threatened that if his son got hurt again, then he would find out who has been bullying his son, find their father, and beat the shit out of him. And this worked, because the bullying stopped afterwards.

Whether you want to believe this anecdote or not, if your child was being bullied and the school administration was seeming doing little or anything to stop it, would threatening to beat up the bully's father be a fair course of action, and potentially even following through with it (ensuing legal issues be damned)? Now, there's a chance that the father is completely unaware of what his child is doing at school, but there's also the chance that they are encouraging it in some way.

Nah not a big believer in paying for somebody else's crimes even if it's your son

You can have some damn good parents still produce a bully child at school. People forget how much peer pressure and a need for attention affects teenagers, they also haven't fully developed empathy yet so a parent can do everything right and still produce a bully

Nah. That can easily backfire. That dad could end up in jail, and that kid won't have a dad did who knows how long.

Didn't this happen in True Detective Season 2? Ray found his kid's bully, rolled up to the house, and beat the living shit out of the dad in front of the kid.

If the bullying stopped after the school administrator heard the threat then the bully was probably that person's son.
