Shouldn't it be the other way round since many people say Russia is a military powerhouse?

so what? this has nothing to do with your topic title. you should just come out and ask, "after a year and a half of warring with ukraine, is russia still to be considered a military powerhouse?" my answer is, russia still possesses military might, but its reputation as a military powerhouse was probably significantly overstated prior to last march.

is this more along the lines of what you were looking for? have i properly accepted the bait?

They CLAIMED that they were.
Turns out their army was mostly filled with untrained soldiers, unreliable weapons or vehicles from the SOVIET era... They do have some modern technology, just not in huge quantities/it's still the process of being built or maybe Russia doesn't wanna sacrifice the "good shit" Either way, it's because of this, Ukraine has exploited this vulnerability and are using drones to bomb Russian militarized airports

Ukraine has some of the same weapons/vehicles as Russia, though Ukraine was apparently more efficient at training their soldiers on how to use their own tech thus was more successful in defeating various waves of Russian soldiers.
Russia lost heavy amounts of soldiers and weaponry/vehicles in their ongoing efforts to invade Ukraine. Now Russia is desperately buying whatever they can from their allies to make up for what was lost

Because North-Korean missiles are more pointy (as all missiles should be), whereas Russian missiles are slightly more round-tipped.

This. They are buying mostly artillery shells and rockets. The US own stockpiles are also pretty low, considering they sent everything they had on hand to Ukraine.

NATO countries can't make munitions fast enough to fight 21st century wars. Fixing that is going to be messy.

Those explosions that knock out Russian tanks, the artillery rounds that flatten columns of conscripts invading Ukraine in one sense, much of that mayhem comes from rural Iowa.
Workers at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in the southeast corner of the state fill the 155-millimeter shells fired by western howitzers donated to Ukraine. But they aren't making them fast enough to meet demand.

"The Ukrainians have been burning through in one month what the United States produces in an entire year," says Mark Cancian, a senior advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

No one was ready for the Ukraine war.

Putin spent billions to modernize the Russian army.
The military leaders upgraded the stuff where they knew Putin would go, then put the rest in their pockets. Which they spent on luxury boats.
Those luxury boats were so important so they let their stockpiles of weapons and ammo rot and rust.

Ukraine also has huge problems with corruption. All the 20 or so recruitment heads for the Ukrainian army were recently fired, after it was revealed they were taking bribes from rich Ukrainians willing to avoid the draft while sending poor Ukrainians to die on the meat grinder.

They have already, but in a sort of a roundabout way.
South Korea has sold artillery rounds to the US, who then provided from their stockpiles an equal number of rounds to Ukraine.

I'm not sure I get what you want people to say. Or what you don't get. Is your issue with the use of the phrase "military powerhouse"?

Stop saying "the media".

There isn't a "the media".

Some media members think Russia is a paper tiger hollowed out by corruption.

Some think they are on the verge of breaking the Ukrainian army.

You're obviously trying to prove something by making such a fake curious topic. Why, instead of shitposting, don't you do an analysis of specific claims made by the media and contrast those with the recent developments with N. Korea? Then you could prove whatever point you're trying to make.

That's what a curious and smart person would do. It would even... be a decent topic of discussion!

Why would TC make such shitty and insightless topics about current events? I thought TC positions himself as someone who is intelligent?

Heh. That's not the done thing, though.

I've noticed often times that people who think they're way smarter than they actually are tend to do things like this. Instead of just making a point they tip toe around it. So that the readers can "arrive at their own conclusion" or "think for themselves" or whatever noise. Some sort of quasi-enlightened shit.
