If giving my advice and saying what I think is for the best is "dictating how people live theire lives", okay bud.

You're free to stay as lonely and miserable as possible. Doesn't effect anyone but you. But real relationships go beyond only writing. Neither people should have been contented with just that for so long.

I mean I'm married with children and used to be super social. At this point I hate socializing and only really do it to benefit my children because being the parent that nobody likes is bad for your kids. I just don't think speaking for other people makes you as altruistic as you think it does.

that sounds a little bit like depression sinking in. A Mid-Crisis can come in many forms. Its not just about blowing your savings on a Lamborghini, or starting a rock band out of your garage. Most mid-life crises comes from just being tired and exhausted from the life youve lived thus far. Sometimes there is regret, but most of the time it just comes from wanting more out of life

So some men buy big boats, or get girlfriends that could be their daughter. Others just get depressed from thinking about it, and then they retreat to get lost in the daydreams they cultivate to deal with that empty feeling.

Maybe consider this might be the case. If so, then get a journal and start hitting things down to better understand your own thoughts. Eventually sit down with your wife and discuss what youve discovered.

Or just, tell me to bigger off I guess. Either one is better than apologizing the situation thats illustrated within that Reddit post.

I highly recommend users don't take life advice from someone who constantly talks about GameFAQs on multiple websites.

Apologetics is just a snobby way of saying debate on behalf of it doesnt mean apologizing in the since of saying youre sorry because you did anything wrong.

Its only when I see someone struggling that I start to question their life choices, because in my mind that person needs help. If anyones wondering that class was a train wreck. The whole thing was about how to arguing with non-chrustians and how to tear apart their arguments so you can win the debate and defend the legitimacy of the Bible.

I took it as a troll, and was the Devils Advocate so it was me and my friend vs a classroom of about 40.

I got a C- that I later was able to get up to a C+ due to perfect attendancewhich was rare, as I often skipped class. But this one was just so fun.

Not really but the people in this topic have felt like they are being condescending towards the guy more so than showing any actual concern for him.

I'll also add that a lot of that shame likely stems from people being condescending or acting like what he is doing is weird. I am of the belief that anything done between consenting adults that isn't financially, emotionally, physically or psychologically exploiting or abusive shouldn't be judged or treated poorly. Let people live their lives if you find it weird accept that it isn't something for you and leave them the fuck alone.

Regardless my advice was sincere. Its possible that it missed the mark and wont be of any actual helpbut it was sincere nonetheless.

Yea, thats not cool. Typically there is a classier way to bring up concerns, and when its obvious the other party is no longer interested in the convo, then its best to tap out and go about ones business.

It's fine to have genuine concern for people and I know a lot of people have trouble accepting things they don't consider the "norm" but it's something we as a society need to continue to work on for the sake of people that fall outside of what we consider normal.

My overall reply to the quoted post is that I completely disagree with you. Social norms, and various mainstream taboos exist for a reason. There is also very real consequences for refusing to try and adapt to them.

• Rage
• Unhealthy Perversion
• Inceldom

You cant put everything into a specific box, and MOST (not all) things nuance to them. But for the most part, we as a society shouldnt just leave these people to their own devicesthats both dangerous and selfish.

We shouldnt leave people behind. We should support eachother to help them live their best lives. Homeboy from the article aint living his best life and thats the entire point of the article.
