I got my copy of Arkham Asylum today, and I just started Ghost of Tsushima.

Should I ditch Ghost of Tsushima and play Arkham Asylum instead?

Arkham Asylum is one of the greatest video games ever made.

Ghost Of Tsushima is well made but just another assembly line open world game in my book.

AA is shorter (and a better game, imo), so Id go with that than GoT.

Youre gonna want to play Arkham City and Arkham Knight too so might as well space them out and play Arkham Asylum right away.

The Arkham games are really great but Tsushima was an experience. One of my favorite games ever.

I'd take any other arkham game over ghost. But Asylum? I think I'd rather play ghost if we are going with it being first time playing. Now that I've played both I'd go with Asylum.

Ghost was a great game imo but not great enough you easily want to play through it again.

Fuck, for some reason I thought you meant Arkham City.
Asylum is one of the best superhero games ever made, definitely play it asap.

AA is shorter and a tighter experience. Ghost is awesome, but do yourself a favor and play it on lethal. It makes the combat more life or death and it's fun. Otherwise it's a by the numbers open world game with gorgeous graphics and a decent story line / mission set. The side stuff can get repetitive but it denotes the generic quests, the side character quests and the main story quests so you can skip what you want.

I say do AA first. Can't go wrong with that one.

They are both so good. You really cant go wrong.

AA gets bonus points for the always outstanding voice work from Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy.

Arkham going more open made it better imo. You feel more like batman being able to prowl the roof tops and streets

City? Gameplay wise that's it for me. Least favorite story in terms of the overall plot though. Presented the story well though.

Orgins was my favorite story

Arkham City isnt egregious as an open world, and came at a time before open world game design had been given into the fucking ground.

Ghosts of Tsushima came well after that point, and Act 1mwas great, then the open world shit got really old.

Yeah. I wasnt saying Asylum was the best one because it wasnt open world, I just said it was better than Tsushima because of that.

I personally like open world games.

Think that came from ocarina of time. Thr ability to just travel around as you please go back to places even if you got no need to.

In open world games I sometimes just wonder around looking for random combat. Or just get lost in it all.

Like in red dead 2. I wasn't for one planning on hunting but I'd wander and if I saw something worth hunting if drop my exploration and hunt it.

In ghost I'd just travel around take in the sights but jump all over any enemies I ran across

That's the beauty of it to me. Doesn't always have to be missions or side quests you can just fuck around and do shit

Open world games were fine when you got one every few years. When literally everything is one, I just find them tedious. I still play them, but not back to back.

As for the exploration, thats fun for a little while, but not 100 hours. They often feel like 10-20 hour games padded with 80-90 hours of crap.

In my expirence you can generally plow through the main quest line if that's what you want.

Generally has annoying forced tutorials though unfortunately
