The whole Naruto was hated by everyone thing ended up being retconned later in the series because they started acting like he was always friends with Sasuke, Shikamaru, Kiba, etc. when they were kids.

Which is weird since Garra and Naruto were supposed to be mirrors.

I think most people have completely forgotten about the late series twist all the hidden villages were basically just child soldier training camps for wealthy elites who use those villages to fight proxy wars. Even the ending, with Naruto becoming hokage, completely ignores this fact.

Unless I'm misremembering, in the beginning of the series konoha was just a village with ninjas. It wasn't until later in the series that they expanded it to the idea that konoha was just a small ninja training village within the land of fire, and it wasn't until chapter 450 before they actually showed the face of the guy who was actually ruler of the nation:

Ninja villages has always been like a soldier training site. It's not just villages with ninjas but villages -of- ninjas.
They've been taking missions from feudal lords and wealthy clients since the beginning.

And on zabuza's backstory is his village are raising ruthless assassins.

It's also rather silly that insanely powerful Shinobi with world ending powers were still subservient to rando feudal Lord's. Ninjas should rule the world

Those rando feudal lords all had samurai at their beck and call that specialized in combat against ninjas. Or at least they were supposed to, the few samurai we do see get dropped like the lowest fodder in the series.

headcanon is the samurai world is a s big as the ninja world with their own naruto and madara but we just dont focus on them
