Return the of King. Im in college and was at a midnight showing during finals. When the Last Charge scene happens I was blown away.

I had to stay up all night so I wouldnt sleep and miss my 6am test.

Going to see dark knight rises. The hype after TDK was real, and their marketing/trailers were great. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype, but I remember being super excited for it

Scott pilgrim vs the world first scene had me looking exactly like knives chow.

I had never seen anything like it before.

Probably Pirates of the Caribbean. The trailers looked incredible

Star Trek Beyond was the first Star Trek thing I've ever watched (not a fan of the franchise) and I went in with low expectations.

That sequence at the end where they played Sabotage to beat the aliens + everyone in my theater singing along to it was one of the greatest movie-going experiences in my entire life.

I dont go to theatres all that often since I live in a rural village. But tbh want to watch the chosen season 4 so much

or maybe TPB The Big Dirty, this scene. The audience cheered. Everyone in there was boozing and smoking dope.

Let's be honest with ourselves. If you weren't tingling in areas you've never felt tingles before after the lightspeed crash in The Last Jedi, you're fucking lying.

When I was a kid watching Jurassic Park.

The practical effects still hold up in a big way. So do the CGI effects in the dim-lit settings. When I saw that brachiosaur as a child, I felt like I was looking at a live dinosaur. Today, the shading is all wrong and it lacks realistic texture. But it doesn't matter because of how well the scene is framed. That's the power of presentation. You still believe that the characters believe they are looking at a real dinosaur.

That's tough. There's been a lot of hype moments in movies. The most recent one was definitely Top Gun Maverick when they had the dogfight at the end. I said "holy shit" out loud lol

Probably Return of the King. The first two LotR movies were already amazing events, and by that time I had read the books and couldn't wait to see some of my favorite scenes play out; not all of them translated well or at all, but overall it was still the most excited I'd ever been watching a movie in the theaters.

Infinity War's probably second. It was shaping up to be a giant spectacles of big names to put Civil War to shame, and in this regard it delivered masterfully. Plus I had enough vague cultural-osmosis comic book knowledge to know that the Snap was probably coming, but it wasn't a guarantee; at that time I wasn't personally aware that it being a two-parter was 100% confirmed, and the movie did a good job of keeping me guessing right up until the end, so that when it did go ahead and happen I was floored.

Opening crawl in Phantom Menace, and then it was all downhill from there (give or take Liam Neeson massacring robots)

Probably the 1st avengers movie when they all teamed up at the end with that great rotating shot of everyone.

Beyond that I think the final battle between zod and superman in man of steel had me at the edge of my seat. I remember eagerly waiting for it to release in blu ray to watch it again.
