It's almost as if cultivating a fanbase of people who hate Nintendo over the course of 15 years will do that.

Immediately blamed trolls for him getting 0 on the recent stream. People were not paying attention or talking to him and he doesnt know why!

It still blows my mind he actually thinks if people are not giving him money they hate the stream. If hes having a good time, his viewers should be having a good time as well. You have like 10 people that give you enough money to hit your goals. They run out of money, that havent stopped liking your content.

On paper, there's a grain of truth to this, like if I decided to be a streamer and streamed the Gollum or King Kong games that came out this year, I'd be fucking miserable, retreat a bit inward and it would be less interesting for an audience, meanwhile I'd be a lot more high energy playing Mario Wonder or Baldur's Gate III, so I'd probably have more to say, engage with people more, and they'd probably have more fun watching as a result.
In execution, however, Dave has an utterly toxic personality who only interacts with his chat when they give him money and moderates it like North Korea, so none of what I just mentioned plays any part at all in his streams.

You can bash him for not being able to do things with his with wife if they dont have Internet. That is pretty stupid since you can play board games, go for a drive, have sex, lots or things you dont need the Internet for. If he had said he needs to make money, then that would have made more sense.

No, he literally explained during the show when someone asked him how he knew and he explained it. YouTube allows you to see when accounts are made. He bans the toxic people in chat that have brand new accounts.

DSP should invite Chris Chan to his show, now that the latter is out of jail.

He literally can't think of anything to do with his wife that doesn't involve staring into a screen.So when the internet doesn't work, they have to watch youtube videos squinting at a phone, presumably awkwardly huddled on a couch. They probably don't even have a single boardgame or set of playing cards in the house, or even dice to play yahtzee. I know he's all in on digital (to his own financial detriment), but I just find it insane that he doesn't have any dvds lying around in a closet. Sometimes people just get a sudden urge to watch some of their favourite movies. That kind of spontaneity just does not exist for Phil. He talks about how much he loves classic movies like Ghostbusters and Back to the Future. Why doesn't he have those on DVD?

His chat also told him multiple times on Wednesday night to try restarting the modem and he refused.

Pretty much, hence my first thing of "emotional moment in main storyline". Dude would probably go through all of Mother 3 making terrible scat jokes, but the waterworks apparently break out now.

Phil has "cancelled" his Halloween begathon event because he is sick. I put it in quotation marks because a normal human would just postpone an event they promised their audience, but Phil has suggested that if he doesn't do it on Halloween there's no reason to do it at all.

It's ridiculous. Phil is having a bout of influenza. But because he's a hermit isolated from other peoples' pathogens he's acting like the one time he has a minor virus, he's basically dying. If you tell him it's normal you're obviously a detractor.
