I feel guilty about calling in 2 times. 3 is my record I think.

Excluding 2 weeks of Covid in 2021, probably been close to ten years without any need to call out.

Typically 2 or 3 days every time I get sick. Probably about 4 days minimum 10 days maximum a year thus far (the 10am as when I got the flu).

On average about 1-2 days a year. Last year I was off for 7 days with the rona on top of that.

my uncle lost about 4 days of work when he got the covid (3 from day off, 4 work days).
though he had to use some of his sick time (didn't lose much in pay thank god).

Closest I've come to calling in sick was last year and I came in feeling a little under the weather, then they sent me to go get Covid tested (negative) and then I went home the rest of the day. Went back the next day.

Otherwise I've never called off sick.

I've probably done it 4-5 times this year due to injury. Normally, it's like 0-2.
Just more proof of how shitty this year has been.

Whenever I feel like it really. So far this year, I've called out 4 times. I've also taken 13 days off so far (planned ahead of time)

1-2 times a year for a total of 3-4 days a year on average.

This was my first year using sick days in like 5 or 6 years. Used a few to take a family member to medical appointments (which is allowed).

Enough to use all my PTO before it expires at year end. If I have an actual cold or something and no PTO left I just work from home.

I don't very often, cause I rarely get sick. I have unlimited PTO though, so it isn't ever an issue if I do

Last year, I had covid back when we still had isolation rules, lost 5 days for that (isolation period was 7 days but two would've been days off anyway). One other sick day.

So far this year, 9 - two single days, a set of two consecutive days, and then 3 each last week and the week before - not a full six in a row as I was back for one day in the middle before things went downhill again. All better now tho.

Most of the time I just wear a mask when I get sick and maybe take the one worst day of it off, but had some pretty nasty stuff this year.

Aside from covid that KOd me for 2 weeks almost never. If I get sick it's usually on my days off annoyingly enough.

My company pays out any unused sick days at the end of the year, so I try my best not to use any.

Only time I really use them is if one of my kids are sick and my wife has to go into the office (she normally works from home).

Including when I got Covid last year, I've used 10 sick days in the 13 years I've been at my current job.

Most of the sick time I use is for dentist and doctor appointments which I let work know about in advance

I average about once a year. Usually it's butt stuff. If I'm in real danger of shutting my pants otw to work, then I'm not going to bother.

Beyond that, I don't get sick often beyond like food poisoning or something

I have called in 1 day for the last year. We have a lot of call ins at my job as they give us 18 days of paid sick leave a year to use. Since they give so much it definitely gets abused. I don't like to abuse the system though. Never have.

Usually once every other month or so, usually due to lack of sleep.

I called in 3 days last year because I slipped on the ice and busted my knee. There was no way I was standing or walking on it for a whole shift. Other than that maybe once or twice a year if I know nothing is going on at work I'll call in just because I feel like staying home.

The big brain move is to say you've got childcare or family issues. Your employer can't put it on your attendance record. In the UK at least.

I never used to take much time off sick but Ive had covid 5 times which has changed that somewhat. Also, when I first moved here I found myself getting sick easily for the first couple of months so took a few days off then.
