Wow, that's actually a pretty noteworthy precedent. That's the first Xbox game where the Series S version has been allowed to have cut features compared to the Series X version, isn't it?

And they should make the Series S version cheaper.

yea, I think it's the first game to set the precedent that Series X & Series S games won't be identical (outside of stuff like resolution).

That's because Baldur's Gate has a 96. Any other game Microsoft wouldn't care if the Xbox version was canceled

Larian has been trying to get it to work acceptably for a long time on the S (the split-screen feature), they even brought in guys from Microsoft to help them so it's not like they didn't try. Good call by Phil here not letting Sony have a pseudo-exclusive on what turned out to be a huge game.

The Series S's lower memory is just going to become more of a factor in the future.

yea, this seems like the best option to appease the most amount of people, and if it's something they ever work out, it can be released on a patch

Yeah plus the game already has online co-op which will be in the S version as well so it's not like multiplayer is completely gone
