I have great stats in fielding, randomly have 3 errors in a single game because the game just decided I needed to get fucked.

Is that the one series where you can just beat the shit out of people?

I still play The Show '19 almost every day. Love just getting a little baseball in with fat knuckleballers, cutter specialists, jacked dudes who hit 150 homers a year, etc.

For 10 years The Show had the huge flaw of working the count in your favor, guessing the right pitch, landing perfect contact, only for the ball to be a laser line drive that teleports directly into the fielder's mitt. It was just better to just wait for your power hitters and swing for homers, since at least the ball flies over the outfielder's mitt.

Me too. I'm so glad it went to Game Pass, because I enjoy Road to the Show, however monotonous, so much.

Sliders are your friend. Head into Settings and play with the sliders, and I guarantee you that you'll have a better time. There's definitely a learning curve, but the fact there are sliders for pretty much EVERYTHING makes it so you can change them as you need to in order to cater your experience into something fun. If there's one thing The Show does well, it's this.

Yup, same. And its been almost a daily play for me since it came to Xbox.

I prefer Super Mega Baseball 4 but The Show is okay.

I bought 22 and 23 on Switch of all things and havent regretted it. Great games. Frustrating as fuck at times, but then again so is baseball.

I love SMB4, too. There's room for both, depending on the experience you want.

For sure. I think The Show is more for MLB heads and SMB is more for people who enjoy baseball but dont really follow MLB.

SMB has a surprising level of depth for its arcade presentation but The Show has the MLB license and authentic presentation.

Definitely. In any case, we eatin' good when it comes to baseball games, probably more than any other sport.

I used to hack the game to make weird players. I could bypass the normal height limit and was able to make players who were 8'8" tall. Whenever a pitch was thrown high in the strike zone it would always be a wild pitch.

I would also make players who were less than 4 feet tall. Nearly every pitch was a ball because their strike zone was so small.

I was also able to unlock some special pitches that were either not used or were only available for certain pitchers. There was a vulcan changeup, an eephus curveball, a straight 2 seamer, a cut 2 seamer, and a gyroball. The gyroball was insane. It could go over 100mph, and it has motion like a slider but nearly twice as much break on it.
