I LOVED this game growing up. The OST was amazing, the gameplay was fun, but my god that one part where you had to fucking RESET the game in order to complete the level? Like, without really any prompting to do-so? The fuck is that? It was also just hard as hell in general. It was designed to be tough, to make you work for it, sometimes unfairly.

Also, Wolverine is listed as above average intelligence while Cyclops, Nightcrawler, and Gambit are all listed as normal intelligence. That kinda makes me smirk cause yeah... Wolverine definitely the most intelligent out of that crew. >_>

I wasnt really into X-men yet I owned and played this game quite a bit for some reason.

Oh, yes. My older cousin loved the hell out of this and X:Men 2 Clone Wars back in the day. We would just marvel (pun intended) at him styling out on this game.

Tbf Wolverine has 100+ years experience over the rest, and enhanced senses allow a lot more perception that can tie into intelligence.

Yeah, I got it the day I got my console with Streets of Rage 2. I was just getting into comic books at that age and played this game pretty frequently. Being a Gambit fan was a big sell also.

I had it for I think game gear.

I rented it and for some reason was very confused by it. I couldnt even get past the first level. I should try again sometime

My dad got it for me as a bday present when it came out. I was a big fan of the cartoon, but I couldn't get into the game though. The platforming was pretty awful.

I never did beat it. I think I only got to the last boss twice. I'd usually get stuck on that fat yellow guy with the robot spider legs

Same. My mom made me throw out all the boxes for my NES and Super NES games but all of my Genesis games are still complete because of the clamshell cases (I had moved on to SNES by the time they got away from those so I don't have any boxed Genesis games).

I have some of the issues those images were taken from, unless it was all from that one Jim Lee cover? I could probably did up the one Cyclops and Storm were taken from in my attic lol.

Cyclops from X-Men 1# (Not the original silver age Uncanny X-Men, they were split into two "teams" back in the 90s)

That was like 10 years before the first X-Men movie. I wasn't even sure what they were at that point

I wasn't a huge comic book guy, but I loved the X-Men and all it's spinoffs.

All the typical cape heroes seemed too corny, especially coming out of the 80s era...the X-Men were part of a persecuted and feared minority, and while the stories and sides were pretty much still simple Good V Evil contests, it felt more gritty and realistically motivated.

If that's the one where as soon as you start the game, you are in a snowy area, then yes. I think my mom rented it from a game rental store. If it's not, then no.

Edit: Upon research, the game I played was X-Men 2: Clones Wars. So the answer is no.

Never got past Zaladane. Clone Wars is much better.

Yeah. My family and my best friend at the time wasn't too crazy about it, but we still managed to beat it at some point.

X-men 2 was legit though.

I didn't, but I did rent the sequel Clone Wars a lot when I was little. I always thought it was just so weird it didn't even start with a title screen (and still do!).
