Vectorman is one of those games that really knew how to make use of the Genesis. Amazing soundtrack, fun gameplay, and in general just classic games on the system. I remember really enjoying them and them just being so different compared to other games on the Genesis. As a 1995 title, late in the console lifecycle, makes sense it would push the system hard.

One of those games that was really funny to rent and mess around with, but kinda miserable to try to completely beat.

I did play it on *thinks hard* Sonic Mega Collection? One of those compilations. I found it pretty difficult and didnt get very far before giving up, but I remember the sound test having some funky tracks

It wasn't easy, that is true.

I didn't own it but played it on the Sega Channel.

Yeah, both.

Very good games, and at the time I was absolutely blown away by the graphics (although in hindsight and as the fogvif nostalgia has fully descended I prefer the sprite-ier look of the earlier Mega Drive games)

Nope, but I do remember seeing it in Toys'r'us in that old 90's corridor of demo consoles like snes and genesis. I thought "wow, this is cool and badass"

Feeling jealous I couldn't play it. I never did, but it does trigger a memory of that brief moment.

grew up playing a ton of 1. never quite beat it without cheating but i managed to get really far

never played 2 until i was an adult and found it a lot harder than the first? and very murky looking too. i didnt play it very long

I own both on the Genesis.
1 is one of the best games on the system.
2 is fine. The new transformations are cool but everything is dark and some shade of brown. Also the game is a lot easier than 1.

Yep, both of em. I only beat the second, from what I can remember. Good old-school fashioned fun.

Gonna say no. I at least rented Mega Turrican. Vectorman graphically looked good enough, but I just never bothered to try it other than at a kiosk for a very short time. I did not bother with this one on those collections, I had been bringing up.
