I can already tell the cashier on facetime is already annoyed by him.

Tyreese didn't show his ID and was denied service. Rich Celeb didn't get their way so they pulled the racism card. Proceeded to say the CEO of Home Depot is his neighbor lol. Then he goes in with someone to record for him totally not looking to make a scene or cause any incidents to make the person making $10 a hour uncomfortable at all. What a manipulative douche. Any smart judge will throw that one out lol.

Yes, Tyreese seems the Karen here. She could not only get fired but personally get in a lot of legal trouble of she just hands that card over without ID proof. And she doesn't seem to be the one he personally handed the card to, so I don't know why he's acting as if she's to blame.

Is it normal for people to just leave their card behind like this? "Hey bro, hold onto this for me... I gotta go get some burgers!" Because I don't think I would.

edit: I thought he was saying he left the card with HD employees, not his own workers. Still a very dumb thing to throw a fit over, let alone claim racism over.

I work at a bank and Im constantly surprised at the stream of people that are offended and surprised or downright fight me on it if I want their ID. Its such a monumentally narcissistic thing.

Sounds like he left his card with an employee who ran into difficulty using it without him there.

And instead of taking this as an annoying inconvenience that just happens sometimes he takes it as a personal slight and cries racism and threatens to call the CEO of a giant corporation over the dumbest petty shit imaginable.

I went to a news article on it because the videos are kind of all over the place as far as trying to make sense of it all. But it seems that he was getting anxiety because people were recognizing him... leaves card with his own personal workers so they can complete the transaction and tells the cashier that's what he's doing. At some point his ID is needed and that's when this brouhaha happens.

Gibsons lawsuit claims that he and the two other plaintiffs Eric Mora and Manuel Hernandez, who regularly provide construction services for the actor went to The Home Depot on Feb. 11 to purchase items for an ongoing project at the actors home.

After a cashier allegedly took 20 minutes to scan the items, Gibson said he was recognized and approached by shoppers. The actor decided to wait in his car to prevent a disturbance. Before leaving the store, Gibson said he told the cashier that Mora and Hernandez would complete the transaction. However, the two men were allegedly denied their items, prompting Gibson to return to the store and provide identification to complete the purchase. The lawsuit also claims that the manager refused to speak to him despite Gibsons request to speak to them.

The actions of the cashier and manager were discriminatory based on race and origin, the lawsuit says. There is no other plausible explanation for the mistreatment of Plaintiffs. The transaction was refused, despite Gibsons repeated authorizations, because of Plaintiffs skin color and, in the case of Mora and Hernandez, also because of their national origin.

I'm a little unnerved seeing the lady not express anger about the racist comment. I would have made a scene at that point.

I'm a supervisor. But no matter who it is. You call me that, then you can leave or shut up. My company policy states that if I feel I'm being insulted in such a manner. That I can refuse service. Heck, my HR would be worried about the employee suing, just as much the customer.

I recently had an employee of mine call me recist. Once he realized he was being foolish. He started directing it at everyone else. Definitely not my first occurrence.
