Max, Netflix, and Hulu are really all you need. Those cover almost all bases. Max and Hulu for HBO/FX and the ridiculous amount of top tier 30 minute comedies. Then Netflix, because it has the most consistent stream of new content.

Disney, Paramount, and Peacock are pretty mediocre when it comes to new content. Older content they have a great library, but unless you have kids or love Star Trek, no reason to have any of them.

Nah. They're also great for 90's kids like me. All of my childhood favorites available for nostalgia trips

it's already bad enough since everything wanted in on the streaming pie and oversaturated the market. it was fine when it was just netflix and hulu. although i do miss back when hulu was free with ads. now you gotta pay and still get ads.

now all the services will crackdown on the password sharing and the lesser ones like peacock and paramount will probably fold soon. piracy will end up king again.

I left completely. With streaming and A-List, I don't really need to pirate anything anymore. There's really nothing 'must watch' that streams anymore besides maaaybe MCU stuff. But everything else I don't mind waiting for a while. Like Twisted Metal looked cool, but I'll just wait until The Continental drops to get Peacock, binge both, and whatever else I've missed from their platform, like Poker Face and Killing It, cancel after a month, and then maybe go back next year when they have new shit. Same for P+.

For me, exclusive content is key. That's why I'm a big fan of Netflix, Prime, Max, and Hulu. I think those 4 could stick around and the rest fold, and we wouldn't lose much. They have a huge collection of stuff on all 4, and new content coming out regularly. Now if Max didn't have HBO or Hulu didn't have FX, you could probably just move on from both, but I've long said that HBO/FX were the top 2 cable or premium networks, so getting them added into their respective services absolutely helps bolster them quite a bit.

Netflix is amazing and has been since 2011. If you can't find something to watch and enjoy when they're releasing 100+ new shows a year, that seems like a you problem and not them.

If that show made them money, they wouldn't have canceled it.

Notice how they're not canceling Stranger Things, Wednesday, Squid Games, and whatever other shows? Because they're insanely popular. Santa Clarita was a niche show. Just like Glow, and whatever else they released and canceled over time.

Netflix would have no reason to cancel a popular and big time watched show just to save a few million.

Theyve cancelled so much shit at this point that people take the stance Ill wait to see if it gets a season 2, then Ill watch it. Then Netflix puts on a shocked Pikachu face that people thought they were crying wolf again and cancels it.

Yes. And that's their problem. If you don't watch a show, a service has no reason to continue making it.

I mean imagine being so conceited that you think a service or network should make a show that only you want to watch.

Plus, there's literally nothing wrong watching a 1 season show. Plenty of amazing shows only had a single season.

If you have an ad blocker you can get more content, better convenience, and the same functionality from pirate sites. If the big streamers are unable to offer anything to separate themselves from others and from the pirates then it's only a matter of time before subscriber retention takes a huge hit.

Sure they do. You may not. Everyone else does. If a show intrigues people, they'll watch it.

People seem to have this preconceived notion that Netflix makes shows for them. They don't. They make shows for the mass audience. If you don't like shows or movies in their top 10, you're simply not the person Netflix is creating content for. You're a niche audience who wants obscure shit catered towards them.

Youre attacking a straw man. Literally every show they come out with, people rightly fear will be canceled, because Netflix cancels almost everything, since they only seem interest in continuing something as successful as Wednesday or Stranger Things, when its obvious everything cant be that successful. For example, anyone who thinks theyll even come close to catching up to One Pieces manga before they cancel it no matter how popular it is is a fool.

See, you keep beating that straw man. I dont want Netflix to make shows for me. I dont care about shows period, because Id rather read books, as theyre much better written. But I like to watch a movie once or twice a week, and the flix part of Netflix is garbage these days.

  • "The scene where the pony poops, and Bluey and Indy run away was cut."
  • "Every mention of the cat toy Agatha peeing on the curtains is replaced with mentions of her scratching them up."

Mostly they don't like mentions of stuff like poop, pee, farts, and pregnancy
