Yeah, it allows me to command a very good salary and package.

My resume looks good but I'm currently married to my company because I make way more than I should. I've looked around over the past few years just always trying to see what else is out there and most jobs doing what I do elsewhere would either require me to relocate (which I cannot do for the next few years) or take a 30-40% cut if I stayed locally and wanted normal business hours. Thankfully I enjoy what I do so it is only concerning when talks of layoffs occur; especially as I get older and closer to my 50s. What concerns me most (and I even created a poll here about it a short while back) is how easily AI could replace what my team does. And without a team, no need for me leading them.

Yeah it's not bad, military, college, 17 years management experience and my current job for like 6 years or so.

Depends on how you look at it. I have great qualifications and experience in few specific fields, but sadly those aren't exactly fields that are in high demand. I've noticed that when put to practice, it's only impressive to employers looking for that particular set of skills.

i just keep it updated to feel good about myself

I get a call back nearly every time, so it must be good.

I actually need to learn to build one. It can be but isn't currently in the field I will try to get in when I retire from the military.
