I feel like Le Morbinator is necessary in any discard package, especially if you're planning on mass-discarding at the end. But...Carnage is great for freeing up board space, and is a good counter to board clutter/minus power stuff from the enemy.

But idk, either one is pretty important.

Yeah. Idk. When X-23 releases I'm thinking of going for a discard/destroy hybrid deck since it would be pretty damn viable with those cards.

Daken(1) > Absorbing Man(1) > Zola on the Daken(2).

That's about 4. Can get even higher if I get Kamar Taj. Then I Modok/Killmonger the shards for absolute chaos. It can get absurd if I also get Nova for a Killmonger proc. Or if I get cloning labs. If I get cloning labs, it's straight up game over. Infinite Daken spam into a MODOK or Killmonger p much.

Anyone got ideas for a good Nimrod based deck? Want to make one around him. I'm constantly changing decks cause it's fun, and I've yet to make one focused around him.

Shuri and Zola are good to add also Venom and Armour and Cosmo to protect your Venom.

Shuri, Zola, Forge, Galactus, Wave, Carnage, Venom, Death, Knull are all good. There's also utility from Magik(more turns, makes it easier to Nimrod turn 6 and Knull turn 7). Wolverine already will have inherent value there. And X-23 will be incredibly powerful.

I only played a few hours in November and saw the game has gotten mixed reviews recently, is it worth coming back to as a mostly newbie player?

I think so. You should get at least s1-3 cards pretty quick.

Highly recommend it. It's only gotten worse for older players. New players have more ways to get cards than before.

I've been playing almost daily since launch day, and I still think it's just as good.

X-23 is next week. She's gonna be absolutely gamechanging. I'm excited af.

Boring week of buffs, but stuff like Forge into Deadpool/Daken/Wolverine/MM/Torch will be deadly. Crystal...might be good in Cerebro 3 and Surfer? Still not the most useful card ever? Idk. Good for Ronan too.

Shanna might be good for Destroy decks, but idk if she has much value because Killmonger kinda wrecks that hope and dream of a Kazoo deck.

I saw he was running a negative deck and so I threw out Skrull. I guess he didn't realize, or maybe he did and didn't care. But then my Mystique next turn absolutely destroyed his chances of winning.

Only been playing with her for like an hour and everyone keeps retreating lmao. The only downside is, with a basic destroy deck, I legitimately cannot keep up with the amount of energy I'm getting from destroying her so much. I play all my cards and I just gotta focus on whatever I top deck next. She's JUST SO GOOD.

She also has more downsides than Psylocke. Armor shuts her down, she can land in bad positions(even in the above picture, she landed in bar sinister, which isn't great. She doesn't react well to stuff like Kamar(unlike Psylocke).

All that being said...she's probably gonna be 1/1. 1/2 is way too competitive with other 1 drops. 1/1 makes sense, makes her more of a liability, and downgrades her just to energy(whereas currently, she can be somewhat competitive with other cards with 2 power, like Yondu).

But I feel like she's the card Destroy desperately needed. She's really strong and extremely important to the DNA, kinda like Knull and Death, in how she allows you to combo more with Destroy decks.

He's definitely one of the most powerful cards ever printed, but if he didn't exist there's nothing stopping jubilee/electro/lockjaw and Hela decks from winning every game in raw power alone.

It's weird because I constantly hear the devs talk about how they deliberately keep cards under a certain power when they buff them so they can't be Shanged.

Kinda indicative that Shang-Chi is played so much that he's a factor when it comes to adjusting power levels

He doesn't stop a Hela deck at all, Cosmo does. Lockjaw, maybe, but not even all the time.

He just invalidates tons of decks, singlehandedly, moreso than even Cosmo or armor. He's literally, as @RchHomieQuanChi said, has the devs balancing around him. He invalidates cards like Miguel O'Hara because for the same cost you destroy literally an entire zone of high power characters. And the effect can be Odin'd, he has no real drawbacks besides maybe he's useless one game out of 120000 to not have him in your deck.

The metagame REVOLVES around him. Its gotten that bad. You'd think they'd not want the entire game based around one specific card but a good chunk of the game is built around him.

Shang-Chi is an easy tech to toss into a lot of decks that aren't total netdecks, so it comes up in decks that wouldn't seem to have it. It surprises me often and it annoys me that way.
