Unfortunately Boruto still prints $$$.

Black Clover has been on a decline for a while. And it's on the final arc so it was supposed to be ending eventually soon-ish.

Granted, basically no fights happened and Asta just arrived on the scene to save the day, so I expected there to be a lot left, but the axe waits for no one.

And I was a fan of the Spade Kingdom arc. I thought Black Clover was actually getting better and was kinda amped for this final arc. But it's been super boring.

I rememeber when I decided to read all of Black Clover a few years back (It was around when Ghost of Sushima came out, not sure why that memory sticks), thinking it was totally fine and people were exaggerating, but then actually trying to follow it weekly and....no, no this isn't great.

Sometimes you can gaslight yourself by binging something.

I still don't know what Black Clover is and I don't think I'll ever be finding out

Has Shikamuro gotten a ton stronger in Boruto? Because otherwise he seems like a big step down from previous hokages in terms of strength.

Re-watching Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien again, and I remember all over again those feelings of, "This is not meant to be a nice, pleasant show." That said, I'm kind of amazed how well the show ended up, given some of the plotlines of the actual game were...uh...something.

The game is less Madoka Magica, romance version, and more Future Diary, Clannad version...fucking hell.

Caught up on Mushoku Tensei.

I know there was some worry beforehand about season 2 due to staff changing or whatever, but the show is still great.

I say this and then the episode that aired today was...not great. Moreso because of writing weirdness than anything with the adaptation, but still.

This feels like a show that's fallen out of relevance, but after years I finally got around to starting Gosick. Mostly because the OP/ED contest reminded me how awesome the ending theme was. (The ED did not make it into the contest but I did try...)

3 episodes in and the show is pretty good. Something about the style at least gave me the impression that the show would be a bit stiff, but this was definitely wrong. The show is very lively, and I love the dynamic between the 2 leads and Victorique especially. The mystery for the first arc was also quite exciting--for some reason I was expecting closer to Hyouka in style, which is a show I didn't end up liking all that much.

Gosick is kind of hilarious for how dark/fucked up the ending is compared to the rest of the series.

I have completely fallen off this current anime season. I was only watching 3 shows, and the only one I'm not 3 episodes behind on is JJK, since that one has been on a break with recaps.

Off-season, I finished New Game. Feelings haven't changed, I still love it and prefer S1 to S2. The scene between Kou and Rin in the final episode is even better with spoilers context, even if the spoilers themselves are just a brief blurb in the afterword of the final chapter. I'm grateful the author confirmed it, but I would have liked to see an official panel with them wearing interpretation rings like in G-Witch.

Next in line is...Galaxy Angel...Pretty meh first episode, but at least it had the decency to be only half length. Will be skipping the OP and ED going forward

Too big of a chance they include some post Wano or even Egghead spoilers at this point.

We're lucky the previous opening didn't already have Gear 5 in it! The fact that the ED barely spoils the end of wano suggests that they're being a little careful though. That, or they plan on swapping more quickly.

Ugh man, it's beating a dead horse I guess, but once upon a time I looked forward to an All Might and Nana backstory. Something that would actually be an involved story of its own that really establishes the personal motivations of these characters. There was even that event where All Might received his scar and All for One was thought to be dead. I'm still surprised how little these kinds of things were explored.

Now we just get a few pages of things we already knew, just to hype up a fight. MHA never really thinks about anything more than the immediate present.

Ya gotta understand MHA has such good presentation it makes me want to criticize it. If it looked lame I'd be fine with other elements being lame.

Just like part 1 there will be a 1 hour special for the end of part 2 of thousand year blood war on September 30th

Saw episode 1 of Yamada999 (dubbed). I like Akane, and she carries the show in a "drunken depressed Marin Kitagawa" mix that holds everything together. It would be nice if Yamada didn't have the personality of a stick...but we can't have everything I suppose. When Ayanokoji from CotE has more charisma than you, that's fucking sad. Anyway, it was nice seeing college aged people for a change.

Fix up Yamada as the show progresses (as in show ANY emotion at all ever), and I might like this. At least, it can be in my weekly show rotation with Part Timer S2 for now.

Then I found something called "Why Raeliana Ended Up At The Duke's Mansion." I'm seeing a lot of cool behind the scenes machinations and darker characters amidst the few scenes I saw. It helps the main characters are pretty confident and charismatic. I might stick with this.

And now I finished it up (the first season anyway; ends on a "we might do more, or read our manga" cliffhanger)

Really good noble/political romance drama. There's quite a bit of ground they can keep covering if this gets a second season (which I would definitely like). The two leads are fantastic at playing coy, and keeping everyone around them guessing.

Raeliana is based on a finished manhwa. It's solid from start to finish.

Yeah, this show's worst problem is that no matter how good it gets there's always going to be something they throw at you that prevents me from ever considering it something I could recommend to someone IRL.

New jjk was a good start to the arc but i really wish they hadn't made the recap videos private!

Love the song and it really does instill a feeling of "the pain of those days in now in the past". From all the split-second shots, the one where Kid laughing is probably my favourite part - just thinking about everything they'd been through and coming out the other end victorious and alive.

Started watching a show called 86 -Eighty Six-. Been a couple days, but the first few episodes hit me pretty hard. The two main leads are pretty fascinating, and this has some buzz around it when it came out.

Well I was wrong to be worried. That really just feels like a celebration of Wano.

I'm more wondering if it's only going to stick around for Post-Wano arc and then we're on to Opening 26 for Egghead or if they'll just switch the scenes around, but keep the opening intact

Anyone here keeping up with JJK? There's an absolute meltdown going on in the fandom right now. I can't quite wrap my head around why people cheering for Sukuna to win, he's the fucking bad guy. It makes no sense if he wins since every other good guy is multiple tiers below Sukuna and Gojo. And if anyone even saw the first OP for S2 they would know Gojo is destined to fight Geto(Kenny).

Why not? We're not in the final battle phase where the good guys have to win, and it might make the story more interesting if the weaker protagonists have to actually stand up and so shit.

It'd be like cheering wanting to see All Might beat OFA back in Season 3 and just the end the story right then and....ah shit you're convincing me.

But right now JJK is at about 85-90% done. You're cheering for Obito to beat Naruto right before Kaguya shows up. There's no more power ups for the good guys, except maybe Yuji discovering his CT is soul transfer + stealing techniques. Not to mention Kenny is cooking something, like using the massive amounts of CE released during the Cell Games to feed Tengen and unleash whatever he has planned. Sukuna doesn't even have internal dialogue, there's really nothing else to him.

I don't see JJK being that close to ending.

I feel like there would be one last decently long arc after this.

new yoko taro anime

shame it looks worse than Drakengard 1...

They previewed that at AnimeExpo with Yoko Taro on the panel, as well as the Soul Eater author, it looked horrendous there too. I got a distinct feeling they were keeping a healthy distance from any actual engagement with the product.

It doesn't look great, but honestly by the standards of CG outside of Studio Orange it could certainly look worse. I would be willing to tolerate the look of this if it's any good.

Was this the one that Taro said a producer or director didn't take any of his ideas and had him redo it all the time?
