I've been trying to 100% games but there are usually games I avoid in this case which involve multiplayer or playing multiple times(unless I really love it) and I wanted to play Tomb Raider and I didn't even know it had multiplayer but looking at the list, oh boy it does! I still want to play it but damn, really made it feel like it'll be impossible to 100% the list.

Other games I don't like doing are the ones where you either need to play New Game+ or having to play it on an extreme difficulty(i.e. FFXVI/Miles Morales or in the other case: Witcher 3)

I wish games put more things in the game as rewards for accomplishments instead of just giving you lazy achievements/trophies.

Or games that lock your trophy progression behind other people's actions. Little Big Planet 2's trophies require other people to 'like' you and your levels.

the trophies are usually separate from the game itself. Its not even necessary. I used to not care but lately I've been wanting to do it and I've done several. My first ever was Spider-Man and lately I did the Last of Us Part 1 on the PS5.

oh shit, that sucks dude. But yeah, I can see that...Its probably worse because nobody is probably even playing the game anymore.

Doom Eternal comes to mind, battlemode is trash.

The worst one I've ever seen is on TF2.
There's an achievement for uploading a replay and getting 100,000 views on YT.

Never forget those poor souls who lost everything trying.

The only thing kinda poo poo about being a patient gamer. Otherwise if it's a game I want day one and it has multi, well... I'm gonna be grinding on multi and having fun.

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter had three achievements for getting to #1 on worldwide rankings:

Climb to the top of the universal leaderboard
Climb to the top of the solo leaderboard
Climb to the top of the team leaderboard

I remember that one. At least you're still playing the game.
And there's gotta be in-depth strats for it. Plus I remember years ago didn't they reset the leaderboard so people could have a fair chance at it?

Both are unpleasant but I'd prefer something like that to dropping the game and desperately shilling a replay.

I wish games got rid of trophies altogether.

Honestly, I don't see the negative of it. Its not something you necessary need but for those who enjoy it, its nice for them. I've seen gamers who play their consoles for years and have a low trophy score and good for them.

The best ones requires you to be number 1 on an online ranking board.
The superior ones requires you to be number 1 on an online ranking board that is based on completing a task in as shortest time as possible.

Game delayed by 6 months because some fucking Call Of Duty loving waste of oxygen thought that every game needed shoehorned in multiplayer.

Only created for Square Enix to cream money from us by selling map packs.

Watchmojo named it the #1 worst shoehorned in multiplayer. It has been panned by critics and players.

I tried it once and I really need my head read for trying it that once.

1/4 of achievements just to get people to play that stinking pile of shit.

I will never forgive Square Enix for that shit. I am furious with them to this day.

One of the Mass Effect games did it right. Several trophies were an either/or scenerio. Like hit level 30 in the game OR get gold rank in multi-player.

And that is what has prevented me from getting the Plat in FO76. Kill other players X times (never bothered with the MP part, and don't attack other players) and Revive other players X times (don't play in teams and never see other players down long enough in open events).

I disagree. Who cares if can't get a few trophies on a 5 year old game. You don't have to 100% every game you play.

well I never planned to play the multiplayer. Fuck that. I didn't even know it had multiplayer until I went to check out the trophy list. It was disappointing.

True story, for pre-ordering Tomb Raider from Amazon.co.uk I received a free Xbox Live code for the Shanty Town map pack and I was utterly furious with Amazon. Oh no they could have given us something for the single player campaign but no it was for the fucking stinking piece of shit multiplayer mode. I E-mailed them a furious E-mail telling them what they could go do with it and then I just let the E-mail with the code sit in my inbox and let the code expire without ever using it and then deleted the E-mail.

Try this and this is true aswell, March 2013 Square Enix "We will make and sell map packs for ever for Tomb Raider!". June 2013 "We will no longer sell or make map packs for Tomb Raider!" I laughed like a drain at that one. They finally go it through their thick heads that no one gave a flying fuck about Tomb Raiders shit multiplayer mode.

lol you're right though, it doesn't need a mulitplayer. Never did. I'm glad they hadn't done that with Sleeping Dogs. Speaking of Sleeping Dogs, I couldn't find it on the PSn store forever. It was unavailable and then it popped up a couple of days ago on a sale. The trophy list looks alright. I might finally finish that game after I complete Midnight Suns' list.

Also, that map promise reminds me of when DCOnline was made and how they released a way for you to pay for a lifetime membership fee...oh to have such magical dreams for themselves...

multiplayer dies. Later when all that's left is the single player, those trophies will be useless for those who go back to play them.

Which started the thousands of awful "heart for heart" levels that were just meant to get the trophy

Thats the point. There shouldnt be achievements or trophies that will eventually become impossible to get. Not everyone plays a game at launch, or even 5 years after launch.

Though achievements should always be within normal realm of possibility, getting 100k views on an upload or reaching the #1 spot when only a dozen people or so are going manage this.

Actually reading up on it because it sounded too absurd to exist, not only is it real but its also impossible to get now because youtube changed their api which is how the game communicated with YT to access that you had those views.
