I don't know enough about them to say. I support decriminalizing all drugs, and legalizing some of the less risky ones like cannabis; I don't know where mushrooms would fall on that.

Mushrooms and lsd are basically the least harmful drugs

Mushrooms are fairly safe unless you abuse them. They can be intense but not physically dangerous.

Iirc abuse can lead to permanent psychosis as it does serious damage to your brain.

But they can also be revolutionary for therapy, and in rare situations can even outright cure some horrific conditions. But really, guided therapy is the best because they help you recreate neural links. The mental Healthcare potential is greater than any other drug out there I know of.

I think you should be allowed to put anything you want to in your own body even if it kills you but that if you get behind the wheel of your vehicle and kill someone after doing it, you should never get out of prison.

I know it can trigger a psychotic episode, but you must already suffer from psychosis.

Yup. Bad trips are a thing. Even alcohol and pot hit different people very differently, but getting a bad trip from shrooms can be terrifying, and potentially dangerous if you don't have someone trusted.

When you look at a ranked list of drugs based on how harmful they are both to individuals and society as a whole, psychedelics are way down at the bottom of the list.

in highschool and after it was always fun picking mushrooms in cow fields and running like maniacs if we saw someone around the field. i hear most people with cow fields use fertilizer now that prevents the good mushrooms from growing but i am too old to be running through fields anymore anyway

The synthetic pro-drug is supposed to be easier on the stomach so a more reliable source would be nice

I know someone who suffers from depression and after they took some they didn't have a depressing thought for like 2 or 3 weeks afterwards. Said person ate too many for their first time and was in the middle of getting 2 nasty ear infections so they didn't have the best of time except for the first hour or so.

Had it in vape form. Gave me a skeevy body feel every time. Do you get that in other forms or from ingestion? Really made me not like it, and I have it about 2 dozen tries. I also felt a general sense of confusion that was different from lsd and psilocybin.

Of course. Government cartels need to be shutdown.

this topic is about psilocybin and you are talking bout lsd. they are vastly different experiences. i always preferred lsd and it felt like the cleaner trip to me even though it is man made and psilocybin is natural, but they aren't really comparable. both should definitely be legal tho

4-ACO-DMT is typically taken orally and most people say that the effects are identical to psilocybin. It turns into psilocybin after your body metabolizes it so it probably shouldn't be much different. The effects will likely kick in slower since your body takes longer metabolize it.

But I've yet to try psilocybin's prodrug myself and I'm gonna be more cautious when I do based on your experiences. Thanks for the heads up.

Just fyi, peer reviewed research is indicating shrooms work better than any anti-depressant we've ever used.

Unlike medication, you only need a few sessions with a therapist and shrooms and depression can be cured--permanently.

In many ways it's a lifesaver and could really make society a better place.

Even marijuana carries that risk at a much lower level.
