There are a lot of bears in Los Angeles County and you'd hear about it if there were one or the other. If they're hunting them and they get attacked, i dont feel sorry for them. A lot of the time its a mama bear protecting her cubs, and seeing someone in their territory is seeing them as a threat. I think humans have properly fucked over bears (among many, many other species) and while most encounters between bears and unarmed humans end without injury, the sheer number of people and the not small amount of animals (particularly black bear populations) suggest the inevitability of encounters that end with human fatalities. Last I looked, it was less somewhere around 5 people a year that get killed by any species of bear across the US and Canada; such incidents are exceptionally rare given how much opportunity there is. --- http://i.imgur.com/0APl48O.gifv Chiefs win!
