Sedan 4 doors. Still running good. It's well over 100k miles.

Also I have a 2007 Acura MDX that's well over 100k miles. I only drive my MDX during the winter, though.

One of my cars is a 1999 Corolla. Still going good; not in the best condition cosmetically (not awful but a few minor dings / scratches) but mechanically it's sound.

The other is a 2013 Aqua, not quite so old.

By virtue of you driving a Corolla, you most definitely drive 5 mph under the speed limit (Subaru Outback drivers drive 10mph under the speed limit just for the record).

Had a TTS before the Merc, and a C300 before the TT. German cars 4L.

No more Aston though :(

That's the car I'll always associate with you ha ha. If I recall you had a C63 at one point as well? Been a while since we've talked cars.

Hello mate! Been a while, most definitely.

Yep, I had a C63 wagon a few years back. Loved it, and a few years later I also had an ML63. That thing was ridiculous, a car that size has no business outgunning Teslas.

My S4 is the "reasonable" fast car on my driveway, I've just come back from a few nights away on a boat and the Audi was filled with alcohol, food, speakers, and everything else to make a holiday fun.

The last properly fun car I had was my F-Type, which I'm sure you noticed on 271. I sold it to put some money into doing up my house before I sell it. If things go well I'm looking at a Cali T or a 570S. Not so well, a Mustang or a GranCab - or even another 911.

My Twizy is my daily and is genuinely probably one of the most active Twizys around. I put around 70 miles on it a week, which doesn't sound like much, but given its size and range, I do it proud.

Meanwhile my Mini is yet to cover a mile since 2020.

Edit: My Type-R is nice, but it doesn't tick the box. I miss my Impreza. I think that's my next move, another Impreza in lieu of the CTR. I don't hate the Civic, don't get me wrong, but it's just not the same.

I'm so jealous of Europe and their shooting brakes. We only get the RS6 and the E63 which are both hilariously expensive. Even BMW doesn't sell a wagon here anymore.

Ayyy F-Type! My Dad had an E-Type back when he lived in the UK.

And personally of those I'd go for the Cali T because I'm a sucker for a metal drop top, but the 570 would be nasty too.

Twizy's are hilarious. They'd never be allowed in North America, but I bet it's a fun city car.

Something bad happen to the Mini? I remember you bringing it up a lot back in the day, but I haven't been on 271 in a hot minute so I'm ootl.

Wagons/estates have fallen away a lot over the years. It's not something I agree with, but I know I'm in the minority. People want tiny cars on stilts, rather than sleek saloons with a boot and a fantastic drag coefficient.

I remember having a smoke with someone who was driving an E-Type. I don't smoke any more but it made sense at the time. The old boy in his E-Type told me he'd bought it in the 1960s as a wedding gift to his wife. He kept the car when she passed. The E and F together looked amazing and I wish I'd taken a photo. I respected his wishes though, he didn't want his wife's legacy to be a throwaway photo, which I understand. We shared a few cigarettes, a conversation, and a handshake. I hope he's well.

I love the McL, but having a droptop is an itch I can't get rid of. I'm tempted to pick up a cheapy Boxster for that, but I don't really have the space for another car. It's a dilemma that I don't want to bring up because, well, how much of an arsehole would I come across if I made a topic about that?!

The Twizy is amazing. I love that car. It's tiny, great fun to drive, and people love it. As mentioned I drive it daily, and I'd say 95% of the time someone stops to take a photo, talk to me, or otherwise engage with this little vehicle. Earlier today I was just driving home from work and two guys in Fiesta STs pulled up alongside me to ask me about the Twizy.

It's fun for the most part, but not something you want to drive if you're tired/hungover etc.

And as for the Mini - I got rid of the VTEC one a few years ago when I bought my TVR. I've since bought another Mini, one of the last, and a very good example of one. It's an investment, and next year/2025 I'm planning to export it to the US.

Even I'm guilty of this. I looked at an A4 All road when I scooped my GLA, but it's an extra 15K, so I was like meh, I'll drive a punchy mom car instead.

Love that E-Type story, exact type of story I always hear from E-Type owners even if it's a little somber.

Thanks bud. I had a Vauxhall Mokka (don't bother searching, you're not missing anything) as a company car for a bit and it was dreadful. I went from a top-spec Alfa Romeo Giulietta to that POS. Bah.

I had a T350C. Hilariously fun and something I miss. It was as unreliable as you'd expect, but that's half of the story. If you want something reliable, you drive a Corolla or some other shitbox. If you are able to have some fun, you drive a TVR. As much as that car let me down, I never got pissed off. Driving it was an occasion, and so rewarding whenever things worked and I could actually put some power down.

Disclaimer - I definitely was not driving when these clips were taken, but here's my old TVR.

I need to learn your fancy quoting, I'll stick to the dump and reply. There's a joke in there somewhere.

When I had the Mokka, I wasn't happy and the guy at the rental desk wasn't happy either. He said to me, "it's got a dent over one of the wheels. Don't add another one."

That was it. I dropped the car back a few weeks later with an extra 1200 miles and they didn't even check. Shows how much those shitboxes are cared about.

The Griff, though, personally I'm a little sad. It had a lot of promise, being a TVR with an AMG engine. A lovely mix, as TVR can make fabulous body shapes, and modern (real) AMG engines are very hardy.

I'm not sure what happened but marketing fell away and the Griff is very much unloved, which it doesn't deserve. Someone's fucked up there, and sadly I think it's just a repeat of MG Rover. Too little and maybe too late.

Honestly with how many owner changes and other nonsense they've gone through with regulations and such, I'm surprised they're even still making cars. Always appreciated how ridiculous some of the design choices they made are, and they sound amazing in video. Can't even imagine in person.
