It's an MMO with a subscription. I wouldn't even be interested in WOW since it has a subscription. I like the idea of getting into a fun online game but I can't even be bothered with ESO at this point.

This. Every time I've tried to play it there's an instant feeling of revulsion due to all the MMO garbage and just how bad it feels to actually play.

MMO kinda. They recently went through the entire game and added "Duty Support" to dungeons and story stuff so you can take NPCs instead of people.

I'm playing SWtOR until 7.0 drops, not a fan of endgame grinding.

FF14 is trash

I tried it back when they first introduced the free trial and honestly, it was nowhere near as good as ffxi.

It's free tho for 200 hours

I actually just started the free trial last week and I'm hopelessly addicted. As soon as I've done as much as I'm willing to with it, I'm more than likely going to buy it.

all my friends stopped playing ff14 years ago and i dont feel like expending the energy to find new ones on there. certainly dont want to play solo

Once met a friend of a friend who seemed kinda normal albeit nerdy and weird socially. He said he was married. Whenever we'd do wing nights id ask why he doesnt bring his wife because we'd often all bring our GFs or wives.

Turns out he was "married" to someone from his clan in FF14. His facebook was full of photos of their ingame ceremony. But he legit spoke of her like it was his real wife.

I tried the trial back when it was a limited time and now I can't even start the unlimited trial since it rejects my ID for already using a trial and I'm not making a new account for it.
