Her name was Tiki. 12 years old. She was the best cat I ever had and my best friend. She would follow me around all the time and also slept and sat by my side.

The vet isn�t really sure what killed her. They guessed cancer. She wasn�t eating for like a week before, but it was the middle of July and she never ate much in the summer because she didn�t do well with the heat. Then one day she had a massive seizure and I rushed her to the emergency vet. They tried to save her, but her body was in shock and she was basically gone when we got there.

I have her ashes on my mantle and my boyfriend commissioned an artist to draw a portrait of her that I got last week.

My cat is almost 15 and still has a lot of his youthful energy but it makes me incredibly sad knowing i only have a few short years left with him :(

I also got a tattoo (first one) on my arm the month after she died. It's the letters of her name written all on top of each other.

With Tiki, she died suddenly. Like I said, she wasn't eating much, but I chalked that up to the heat wave and other than that, she looked great and was acting like herself. She was such a bitch to everyone else, but was the biggest sweetie with me. One of the hardest parts for me is that from her seizure, to her passing was maybe an hour. I didn't get a chance to really say bye or tell her that I love her and how much she meant to me. I know she knew it, but that was hard to cope with for awhile.

RIP Tiki. I know how tough it is to lose a kitty.

Also, that's a nice portrait. I got a portrait of my mom's cat done for her birthday the other year. They're honestly great gifts and a good way of remembering all the good times too.
