Also I think if they were to be made, they could take a lot of liberties with the plot, it wouldn't necessarily have to follow the manga or any of the anime series, especially since the majority of the audience wouldn't be that familiar with them (most likely) anyway.

here is the hard part if its an american done thing

casting

usagi and rei absolutely need to be jpns (usagi because main character and rei cus well she is a shinto priestess)

but would the other senshi be race swapped

id absolutely be down for the entire cast to be jpns

but i have little confidence in hollywood ever doing that

IF they ever did make such a film i know what the post credit sequel tease would be

haruka and michiru (yes i know they are the 3rd arc not 2nd but well they would have more hype power than chibiusa)

im thinking make the inners and tux boy 17-18 for the first film

then as i said do the death busters arc 2nd instead of 3rd to use the outter to build hype

then for the 3rd film they can do black moon clan

and by now the inners will be mid 20s

and chibiusa can be 13 or 14 rather than a little kid (thus avoiding the issues of little kids in live action being bad actors)

the 90s anime is 200 episodes for 6 arcs (1 is anime only)

it also had 3 anime films (only thef irst of which is good)

as i said a tv series would work better (perhaps on amazon prime) as it would give enough time to adapt things

i recomend you check out the viz dub of sailor moon

dic dubbed the first 2 seasons and cloverway dubbed season 3 adn 4 of sailor moon

its why we lost kick ass music in season 3 and 4
