Best Buy *maybe*. But there is no single store that has all the physical releases, accessories, etc. I always come away disappointed when I try to find a game or hardware at Target, etc.

Used games too. Nothing but small mall stores do this besides Gamestop.

The physical retail industry should by all factors be dead by now. And it's probably dumb luck even gamestop is still around.

So frankly there isn't room for another big competitor regardless.

Gamestop sucks, though. I haven't shopped at one in over a decade

Yep. Like EB Games in the US. In South LA, there are 2 GameStops right across the street from each other because one used to be an EB Games that they rebranded to GameStop

The argument for a robust physical media market is more attractive by the day. It just came to light that Ubisoft will delete your account after a period of inactivity, which makes you permanently lose access to anything you've purchased through Ubisoft.

Whether or not they have a lot of control over this policy is irrelevant. They can't take physical copies away from you.

Samesies. Especially since games are much larger now and you have to delete and reinstall games all the time. Reinstalling from a disc is a million times faster.

If gamestop didnt suck theyd have nothing to worry about. The card benefits got worse too.

I mean that's cool and all. But I get an actual copy. I can return, sell, trade, collect, or resale in the future when it's worth more

i've gotten better prices and better quality used games from ebay and amazon. since forever. ebay especially used to be wonderful for this.

gamestop is the best walk-in option, but who needs to be in a store to see a stock box with no disc until you get to the counter?

I haven't had this experience with GameStop either

maybe I'm just unlucky, but I can't recall one single time I've been impressed by the quality of a trip to GameStop
