I'm not gonna lie, I've never played Landstalker. It's one of those Genesis titles that I remember hearing was damn good and I SHOULD have played, but never got around to it unfortunately.

I picked up the Sonic Origins Plus game, but I'm also a Sega Kid and I feel the Genesis doesn't get as much love as it should. Lol

Great game, but absolutely frustrating isometric views. The introductory scenes in the first minute of the YouTube video give you and idea of the fuckery in store.

I feel like it got plenty of love. Maybe not as much as the SNES. It was Sega's most popular system after all.

I've always been a big Sega kid as well. I still play my Genesis and Dreamcast every couple weeks. Picked up a Saturn a few years ago and that's been interesting to play through.

Isometric camera and platform jumping is BS. I did beat the game but I hated it and the isometric camera is the main reason.

Very fun game. played the original on the Genesis. At the time it felt like such long game. Especially given the length of games during that time period.

It was an extremely memorable game to me and quite fun though also with loads of frustration because of the isometric platforming. I doubt I would have the patience today, but it's certainly worth a try if it looks appealing.

Thanks to it I got the chance to play and beat Crusader of Centy, and I'm contemplating playing this, but how frustrating are the controls? The isometric view is intimidating me

The controls are fine except sometimes the jumps can get a little obnoxious. Nothing savestates can't fix.

Lol yea save states, if you miss a jump just reload or save after every jump. The last time I made serious progress was on the original hardware so that involved the whole gotta work my way back up there again to try again. Maybe I'll get it right this time. I did love the game though actually.
