There was also a lot of filler. I get it, but now I prefer stuff like Demon Slayer.

Reading this, maybe I should go look for the last 20 episodes or something.

Its a very messy series because Kishimoto did way too much world building last minute without leaving himself plausible reasons why the cast wouldnt have known about it. I still remember it fondly, but its definitely very flawed.

Rock Lee was the most underrated character. Had cool big eyebrows and eyes

I enjoyed the first half of the fourth war(mostly), but that was where I lost my interest too. I tried watching it again a couple of years ago, and lost interest again at the exact same spot.

Yes, I always enjoyed it. Boruto tho.. I just could not attempt to watch it.

It was supposed to end with Pain but Kishimoto got Toriyama treatment. No way Jump gonna let their biggest cash cow ends easily at its peak popularity.

Anyway Boruto was not well received so Kishimoto has to return to be the writer.

Wasn't well received because the new write who supposedly was Kishis secondhand or something didn't actually follow the Naruto Manga.

You could tell by the way the story was going and feats being scaled massively down. Naruto and Sasuke for example received massive nerfs due to this. Abilities they had at the end of the movie Naruto The Last, and even the end of the Naruto Manga was completely forgotten.

Didn't help that Boruto isn't a likable character.

Part 1 was great and should have lasted ALOT longer in my opinion. That and I REALLY hate time skips in manga since they generally don't work and are just a lazy, unnecessary means of changing, and progressing the story, characters and world off screen.

Shippuden was a downgrade on on fronts initially, with the first half consisting of nothing but non stop training arcs. And pretty much just filler until the main story in the war arc started.

Does no one remember da high speed roller-coaster we were going through week to week starting from shikamarus badass revenge, den sasuke vs orochimaru, den jiraiya vs pain, den sasuke vs itachi, den one of da most badass fights ever in naruto vs pain???

Fuck, i still remember how crazy it made everyone when minato appeared lol
