I'm on season 1 and I'm glued to the screen because of how addicting the suspense is. Has anyone else seen the show? It's like Breaking Bad meets Game of Thrones but with Chinese and Irish gangsters. The writing is great.

Why haven't I heard about this before?

I need to rewatch this series. I watched the first 2 seasons when it was still on Cinemax, but season 2 ended almost 3 years ago. I forgot everything that was going on.

I've only started hearing about it after scrolling through Rotten Tomatoes for top rated shows I haven't seen yet. To forewarn you: it has a lot of violence and nudity.

On season 3. When I first discovered it, it was still on season 1 and I had read that Bruce Lee was involved so I was sold. The music is great too.

That's dope. It's got such a chill, almost nostalgic feel to it.

I like that Leary has multiple layers to him. At one side, he's a lovable Irish man trying to care for the working man. On the other end, he's a racist psychopath that blows up people with dynamites. His moments on scene are always keeping me on my toes because of how intense he is.

Shakespeare is dead too and people still adapt his writings. Which is what was done with Warrior adapting stuff Bruce Lee wrote.

Given that it's an HBO, is there hardcore graphic sex scenes in the first few episodes to capture viewers and then they never show up again afterwards? >_>

I'm three episodes into season 3 and this season has been pretty good so far.

But in the English language we don't say the dead artist is "involved" with something being made from their work, we say it was "inspired by" or "written by." Hell even alive artists who write something yet aren't part of the creation of media from it aren't labeled as "involved" unless they actually get involved.

He wasn't the only one involved so he had involvement. If a Michael Jackson song released and someone featured on it would you say "inspired by" or "written by" or "sung by"? He's literally on the track. Dead or alive he's on the project.

It's silly to think you would need clarification that a known dead person was not alive to help bring this show to life. Context clues will give you everything you need in this language and the rest. Most people understood he had a hand in creating this.

I think the only reason why this show isn't getting major press is because it discuses extremely sensitive issues regarding racism between the Irish and Chinese communities, industrialists that exploited cheap labor, and politicians who colluded their way into passing the exclusion act.

If it was some fantasy world like GOT or Breaking Bad that wasn't based on semi-historical facts like with Warrior, then I would assume it would be the most watched show in the US. The show paints racism in a very disturbing way that most viewers would be terrified of watching.

I dont think enough people have HBO Max to make it the number 1 show in the world
